    • Al Hilal win the 2021 AFC Champions League

    • The Saudi Arabian club are now the most successful club in competition history

    • They will represent Asia at the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup
A new king has been crowned in Asia. With a 2-0 victory over three-time winners Pohang Steelers in front of their supporters decked out collectively in blue, Al Hilal became the most successful club in AFC Champions League history with four titles to their name (1991, 2000, 2019 and 2021).

The 50,171 fans packed in to the King Fahd Stadium only had to wait 16 seconds to witness the winning goal. Left-back Nasser Al Dawsari added a stunning exclamation mark to the party atmosphere set during the pre-match ceremony with an electric, long-distance shot from well over 25 yards out that found the top left corner and evaded a helpless Lee Jun in the Pohang goal. It was the fastest goal in AFC Champions League final history.

    Deserved ??? No way...

Played almost all matches at home at expense of AFC kind heartedness towards Hilal..

Bring back the old ACL format, I bet Hilal can never go past last 8 stage. & now when AFC has decided the foriegn player limit is not longer in place, it will massively help Hilal ( all Saudi clubs in particular ) to grow there squad and rotate them. Hilal as always backed by the riches will benefit the most.

All and all you don't deserve this season ACL for whatsever reason.

They won it in 2019 with the old format. Home advantage played a massive role of course and some opposition weren't at their best, see Persepolis but the squad is good and is not only about the foreigners. Hilal have Faraj, Dawsari..

I don't have much complain with the old format honestly. But they can't brag about this edition. Hilal have tons of $$$ and not only Faraj and Dawsari. For instance they just signed Saud Abdul Hamid from Ittihad which now makes it 4 LB in the squad. In normal football, its not practical at all but since it's Hilal everything is possible for them.
