Original source seems to be El Nacional which is a Catalan newspaper. Unlikely that they have any RM sources. Though AS did mention we are following him few weeks back.
I don't think anyone will meet Rudiger's wage demands. If the price is right then I have no problem signing him. Alaba/Militao/Rudiger CB rotation with Nacho as the 4th CB and 3rd LB/RB. You cannot be a serious CL contender with Nacho as the 3rd CB. Plus, next year Nacho will be a year older .... he turns 32 next January. In another year or so, Nacho is likely gone. He can then be replaced by a young CB, maybe even the Castilla defender that is getting hyped up. You don't want to be in the situation where you are having to shop for a 3rd and 4th CB at the same time. There is no need to overthink this.
Hey What do u think about our own players ? Why they don’t get a chance? Peter Federico Oscar Aranda Marvel Andi Gundyonsen (the son of) Reyes (the son of) Bruno Inglesias (he considered as the best potential) We have also: Bugarin (came from celta as big potential) Izan Lucas this kids are really talented
Yeah man! We should definitely bench Vinicius, Rodrygo, Benzema etc so these kids can get a run out during this pressure packed run of matches. Makes perfect sense. Especially because others like Asensio, Isco, Jovic, Camavinga, etc would never feel slighted or complain. I can see them now cheering them on
What evidence shows that is the case? Flo has stuck very closely to an incremental approach to contracts. Vinny wont go from 2 million to 15 million for his next deal. He’s done this with players in the past and if they don’t want to play ball, they get shown the door.
You dont need evidence for that, it is in human nature. While it may not necessarily lead to player getting his wage demands or leaving the club, it definitely is a source of drama Rudiger will be 3rd CB, you cannot have him earn more than your starting CB.
That's how Barca's wagebill spiralled. Everyone started demanding based on what Umtiti, Dembele, Coutinho etc were earning. They also continued to bring in the likes of Griezmann with 22 ME nett wages. Not to mention Pique, Alba, Busquets etc earning very high wages while on decline. RM only had Ronaldo earning 10 ME+ in 2015. Then Ramos got his extension and Bale jumped from 9 ME to 15 ME in 2016. No one else was earning 10 ME+ until Hazard joined. Club already leaked via Marca that they don't see Rudiger close to being Alaba's stature so 12 ME nett is not possible. Infact I see only PSG paying him that just like they overpaid Wijnaldum.
Yeah, I just think we're being sensible B engaging talks, but I just don't see us paying the kind of money guys like Rüdiger and Süle are aiming for.
🚨🌕| Real Madrid are now the favorites to sign Antonio Rudiger as a free agent in 2022, although reports about an informal agreement already in place are premature at the moment. @SJohnsonSport #rmalive pic.twitter.com/aJepEcVKQB— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 9, 2021
Last summer was great. VJ is basically a new player this season. Alaba is probably the third best central defender after Pepe and Ramos we had in the last 15 seasons. Camavinga proved that himself to be a valuable player on this team. Meanwhile, PSG rejected our offer for Mbappe, saving us money for other potential signings in the future.
Disagree with the Alaba part. Not to say he has been bad but Militao has looked the better of the CB pairing.
So why is Casemerio on 12 million gross and Modric and Kroos is on 21 and 20? Benzema is at 19, surely he’d be at the 27 that hazard got or the 37 bale us on? It’s true that there will be comparisons for some, but not for all. Flo is not dumb. If the era of the mega transfer fees is over as a strategy and players are empowered to wind down their contracts to get the best deal possible, Flo will figure it out. Barcas wage bill was overpaying for average talent.on top of massive transfer fees and Messi being paid 90 a year.
Difference is you're talking about gross wages and I was taking about nett. If it's gross, Griezmann earns 44 ME, Coutinho 32 ME, Bale and Hazard 30 ME etc. Flo only paid 30 ME gross/15 ME nett wages for those who had high image rights value (Bale in 2016 and Hazard in 2019 had good number of endorsement deals). Ramos, Alaba were the highest in the next tier with 12 ME nett. Rudiger doesn't belong to that group and wouldn't even be a regular starter at CB with Alaba/Militao at the club. Even if Alaba plays DM, that's only when Casemiro rests.
Mino Raiola to @Sport1 on Haaland future: “We have been thinking for two years. We’ve clear ideas about where Erling should go and of course we look at what the market has to offer. I would be a bad agent if I didn't. We can influence the market with a player like Erling” 🇳🇴 #BVB pic.twitter.com/myJKaLibwr— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) December 9, 2021
Gross and Net is the same as it relates to the proportion of the salary difference. Regardless, having a team where most of your players that are paid roughly in the same quartile is the goal here. Flo will sort it out.
ABC says Kroos close to renewing until 2024. Benzema's contract runs out in 2023. If we don't start renewal talks with Benz in coming months, probably means Haaland is coming and next season could be Benzema's final one at RM.
If Rudiger accepts around 8 ME nett, it might happen. He currently earns 90k per week at Chelsea and rejected their renewal offer of 140k per week. Don't see any other club than PSG offering Rudiger 10-12 ME nett. Alaba got 20 ME signing bonus so Rudiger could get around 15 ME but wages won't be Alaba level because Vinicius apparently being offered 8 ME nett plus bonuses and Militao renewal could be around 7-8 ME max.
Carlo already gave strong hints to Italian paper in an interview last week. "In one year, at the end of December 2022, the new [Estadio Santiago] Bernabeu will be ready and Florentino has big plans for July. "Florentino has very serious intentions. [Signing Erling] Haaland in addition to [Kylian] Mbappe? Let's talk about it later."
Well earned extension for the best midfielder in the world. What a privilege it is watching him. Generational player.
