I think to some degree Reynolds' representation is to blame for this season. It was reported in the Italian press that Roma wanted to loan him out at the start of the season. Reynolds and his representation rejected that opportunity, and wanted to fight for playing time at Roma instead. So....................... https://romapress.net/despite-loan-interest-reynolds-focused-on-roma/
Could he have? I remember there being one smaller club being mentioned, a club that acts as a conduit for Juventus to store players. Thats the only smaller option I remember, and it was probably Juventus doing the financing of that, and paying a bigger fee and salary than a team like Lorient would.
With a good agent? Sure. And he could have taken a loan at the beginning of the season, as Clint notes.
Reynolds agency has a lot more clients and is definitely bigger https://www.transfermarkt.us/mega-sports-management/beraterfirma/berater/6271 Pepi’s not so much https://www.transfermarkt.us/starting-xi-player-management/beraterfirma/berater/5754 I’ve googled them to and not been able to find much at all.
I think it’s not insignificant that they have a newer agent that doesn’t have many clients, but I also think looking at the contracts those guys got in MLS suggests this guy has some idea what he’s doing. That doesn’t mean he’s handling this transfer situation well, but I don’t think he’s shown to be incompetent as an agent so far for these kids.

Indeed. I think his agent has done just about everything right so far. Ricardo Pepi is 18 and currently gets $271k/year guaranteed compensation on his contract. I don't know when Ricardo started with this agency, but his timeline has worked perfectly. Now he's set up for a lucrative overseas move in January. I can't imagine there's another 2003 that's close to Pepi's salary. Current Philadelphia thread-eligible youngsters for comparison..... Leon Flach: $224k Paxton Aaronson: $92k Quinn Sullivan: $67k Jack McGlynn: $78k Brandon Craig: $78k Nathan Harriel: $88k
For those that are curious, Pepi got paid $271k in guaranteed compensation this year. That's much more than most MLS 18 year olds though less than the contracts that slightly older guys like Pomykal or Ferreira have. We don't know if it has escalators, and it probably does. If Dallas got him to sign a 5 year deal for $271k/year, that's not a great deal for Pepi. But I'd be surprised if it doesn't rapidly escalate.
Nico Carrera was on the bench for Holstein Kiel, but didn't get into the game. In bigger news, Tomkinson is on the bench for Norwich today!! Pro debuts for both seem close. 🏴 Premier League🧐🇺🇸 Sarge starting!👨🏻🦰 https://t.co/npcLDY7Law— 🇺🇸 ⚽ east (@eastdeflection) December 11, 2021
'03 CB Eric Kinzner has been training at Pachuca in Mexico. You can see it on his Instagram and also confirmed by a Tacoma Defiance source. Definitely would be an unusual move, if it happens.

This kinda confirms the eye test. Good at carrying/dribbling while passing leaves a bit to be desired. Sometimes holds the ball a tad too long and dribbles into two players. Also passes up 1v1s occasionally with a cutback and back pass.— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) December 15, 2021
