Since Round 3 next week shouldn't involve WE League teams yet (they are scheduled to enter the competition on Christmas day) isn't possible to think about catching up next week with WE League's matches originally scheduled for this week-end? Or the quarantine isn't supposed to be ended yet by then?
https://www.instagram.com/p/CXIQZmAPcqC/?utm_medium=copy_link There is this rescheduled game coming up on the 12th.
Yes, it's the 18th. I suppose @#5nadeshikofan's mistake comes from the habit we have in Europe of writing down the dates with day first and month second: so, when he saw the number 12 he supposed it was the day, and he didn't even read the subsequent number, but it was the month instead.
The Guardian have put out their best female players from 100 to 71 and Iwabuchi gets a nod at 79. I can only imagine Hasegawa and Kumagai making the list after her, though to be honest Hasegawa is a maybe. I believe Shimizu and Sugita should be in the top fifty, but I will be surprised if either of them make the list. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...100-best-female-footballers-in-the-world-2021
Something tells me this is it. No one can be higher than Kumagai... If they put her at 41 how do they even know who Shimizu is, same as Hasegawa who is not as established as Iwabuchi... Sugita? Not sure they know her either...
I don't think all the games will be rescheduled to be on this date. This is only 3 days after the NT members rejoin their teams. It's only possible for them because JEF and Omiya are both impacted very little by the current situation. In other news Ami Otaki is back training with her team just 1 month after she gave birth 11月上旬に出産👶したジェフ千葉レディースの #大滝麻未 選手が本日のトレーニングから部分合流🕺✨#おかえり🎉#jefunited #ジェフ千葉レディース #WEリーグ #ママアスリート #復帰 #スピード復帰 https://t.co/PkrDhrR4Kr pic.twitter.com/T6gGABJYmd— ジェフユナイテッド市原・千葉【公式X】 (@jef_united) December 8, 2021
So Alex Chidiac is back in Australia for a loan to Melbourne Victory Maybe she couldn't get back into Japan or wanted play time during the winter break. Hold up!! Another signing?!? 🤯 pic.twitter.com/1A33bvuzpC— Melbourne Victory (@gomvfc) December 9, 2021
https://p.dw.com/p/43tQn https://p.dw.com/p/43w56 Nice article about Saki Kumagai. However, they found two ways to misspell her name. At least in the German version (first link). Impressive...
Went to watch Arsenal - Barcelona tonight at the Emirates, still amazed how Barca controlled the game for 90 minutes just walking. Definitely, a model for the Nadeshiko to implement (maybe). Watched Iwabuchi as well, but not much to watch, pretty much chased the ball most of the time but still a fun experience I guess.
Tomorrow's games: Empress's Cup third round Iga vs Anclas 13:30 Cerezo vs Fujieda Junshin 10:30 Shizuoka vs Orca 10:30 Menina vs Harima 14:00
https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/2073100/ 30minute english program on the WE league by NHK World. It has a lot of information in it for a 30 minute video. It's not exactly new information but it is interesting.
Today's result: Empress's Cup third round Cerezo (Matsumoto, Iwamoto, Takawa, Momono) 4-0 Fujieda Junshin Shizuoka 0-1 Orca (Urashima) Iga (Mori, Sugita 2, Shimano, Nishikawa, Okino Kurea, Mitsuhashi) 7-0 Anclas It's interesting about Iga's next match; the opponent is Urawa. Menina (Ikegami, Hijikata) 2-1 Harima (Chiba)
Yes, it's very interesting: Iga are not allowed to be promoted to WE League, but this Empress' Cup gives them the chance to measure up whith the league that excluded them. I can't imagine how a team could be more motivated than that! Second consecutive game in this competition that Orca win through a single Rosa Urashima's goal! I am sad for Sonoko Chiba. Menina are as interesting as ever, though. Next match isn't very promising for them, since they're going to meet INAC. In the past years, there was at least one occurence of a Beleza-Menina match in Empress' Cup, if I am not wrong! Not likely to happen at this round, I'd say.
