First time in the CCL era IIRC... Btw, I'll have you all remember that Haiti has as many Concacaf club titles as the US **sweeps the "other finalist couldn't be bothered" asterisk under the rug**

Pretty cool short movie doc here. It is about a team who travels to Haiti in order to attempt to become the first team to qualify from the Bahamas: http://www.kickingandscreening.com/screening-room/library/island-dreams
One more team in this afternoon: GOLAZO DE @QuiotoSamir.We have the lead in the final 👊#MTLvTOR | 1-0 | #CFMTLpic.twitter.com/dcoZ6yORTP— CF Montréal (@cfmontreal) November 21, 2021 ON Y ESTGOOD TO BE BACK#SCCL22 https://t.co/Xl2RrLsqMZ— CF Montréal (@cfmontreal) November 21, 2021 The last remaining berth is for the MLS Cup winner... and/or Sporting KC, if one of the US teams already on this list takes the honors. 2022 CCL Qualifiers 1. Club León [MEX1] 2. Pumas UNAM [MEX3] 3. Cruz Azul [MEX2] 4. Santos Laguna [MEX4] 5. Cavaly (HAI) [CFU] 6. CD Guastatoya [GUA1 or GUA2] 7. New England Revolution [USA1 or USA2] 8. Forge [CAN2] 9. Motagua [HON1] 10. Comunicaciones [GUA1 or GUA2] 11. Deportivo Saprissa [CRC1] 12. Santos de Guápiles [CRC2] 13. Colorado Rapids [USA1, USA2 or USA3] 14. Seattle Sounders [USA1, USA3 or USA4] 15. CF Montréal [CAN1]
The final is set: Comunicaciones vs Motagua. Comunicaciones 2-1 Guastatoya (3-1 agg.) Motagua 0-0 Forge (2-2 agg.)
This also means that Comunicaciones will be GUA1 in the CCL... which really only matters for the Club Index, as both Guatemalan berths were set for Pot 2 anyways. On a couple additional notes: Jon Arnold's now getting into the CCL qualifying roundup game (for those with a premium subscription to his newsletter), so I might be out of a job soon And with no more hand-me-down scenarios in the MLS playoffs, whoever wins it all will grab the last CCL ticket on offer.
Noting here that the MLS Cup Final is set (December 11, 3:00 p.m US Eastern): Portland Timbers vs. NYCFC
We can wait until after the MLS Cup Final to open the CCL thread... But in the first leg of the Concacaf League Final in Tegucigalpa, Comunicaciones players got hit in the head with a flare after their second goal Wouldn't be surprised if Motagua gets hit with an empty stadium or change-of-venue punishment for the CCL R16; a fine is all but guaranteed.
And the field is set! After a last-minute Portland equalizer dragged the MLS Cup Final to extra time, and then penalties, the Pigeons held their nerve better from the spot and take their - and NY's - first ever MLS championship! 2022 CCL Qualifiers 1.
