Since Round 3 next week shouldn't involve WE League teams yet (they are scheduled to enter the competition on Christmas day) isn't possible to think about catching up next week with WE League's matches originally scheduled for this week-end? Or the quarantine isn't supposed to be ended yet by then? :cautious:

I think the 11th matches of We League will be played on 18, 19 this month, not sure though.

Yes, it's the 18th. I suppose @#5nadeshikofan's mistake comes from the habit we have in Europe of writing down the dates with day first and month second: so, when he saw the number 12 he supposed it was the day, and he didn't even read the subsequent number, but it was the month instead. :giggle:

You are right. My mistake. Don't do this at 5 in the morning.

Something tells me this is it. No one can be higher than Kumagai... If they put her at 41 how do they even know who Shimizu is, same as Hasegawa who is not as established as Iwabuchi... Sugita? Not sure they know her either...

I don't think all the games will be rescheduled to be on this date. This is only 3 days after the NT members rejoin their teams. It's only possible for them because JEF and Omiya are both impacted very little by the current situation.

In other news Ami Otaki is back training with her team just 1 month after she gave birth

So Alex Chidiac is back in Australia for a loan to Melbourne Victory  Maybe she couldn't get back into Japan or wanted play time during the winter break.

Went to watch Arsenal - Barcelona tonight at the Emirates, still amazed how Barca controlled the game for 90 minutes just walking. Definitely, a model for the Nadeshiko to implement (maybe).

Watched Iwabuchi as well, but not much to watch, pretty much chased the ball most of the time but still a fun experience I guess.

Yes, it's very interesting: Iga are not allowed to be promoted to WE League, but this Empress' Cup gives them the chance to measure up whith the league that excluded them. I can't imagine how a team could be more motivated than that! :ninja:

Second consecutive game in this competition that Orca win through a single Rosa Urashima's goal!

I am sad for Sonoko Chiba.

Menina are as interesting as ever, though. Next match isn't very promising for them, since they're going to meet INAC.

In the past years, there was at least one occurence of a Beleza-Menina match in Empress' Cup, if I am not wrong! Not likely to happen at this round, I'd say.

Apparently, Empress' Cup website gives Cerezo's 2nd goal to Shinomi Koyama. :cautious:

OL Reign has agreed to the permanent transfer of Nicole Momiki to Linköpings FC in the Swedish Damallsvenskan

Good move. NWSL is in shambles nowadays while Damallsvenskan offer competitive environment and is a good platform to jump from next to Bundesliga or FAWSL.
