Also: Dogs are pets. Not fashion accessories. It's absolutely ok to leave them at home. They don't need to go to church or bars or whatever.

But the person who decided to take their cat to Comfest...what were you thinking?

 

Well, we have three. Two male Maine Coons, who are pretty damned amazing pets. Then there's the older calico, who's... spirited. Not an asshole, but an acquired taste.

The Maine Coons are big, of course. One's a bit over a year old and about 18 lbs. The kitten is 7 lbs at under 4 months old. Both should end up in the 20 lb range. Incredibly affectionate and playful cats. Beautiful coats, too. Huge furry paws, tail, ears. One is very vocal; makes this Tribble-like cooing sound, constant purring. All three cats are very social, love hanging around people.

And I don't have to take them out for walks.

 

I've been told the Maine Cooncat is the unicorn of cats.

 

I guess this proves that you are not a Klingon in disguise....

 

We have a female Maine coon who hates everyone but my wife and plots our deaths.

When we got her we had two other cats who refused to go near her, which suited her just fine. Nobody else would dare occupy the top platform on the cat tree in case she came along. She felt that was her personal property.

My wife thinks she's cute, cuddly and adorable. I want to drop her.off at the pound. The cat I mean..

The cat mocks my feelings on the subject secure in the knowledge that She Who Must Be Obeyed will never allow such a thing.

 

Posting all that info about your cats without a picture is considered a crime on the internets.

 

This is Simba - he is the best and worst all wrapped in one. He has been on his best behavior and extra cuddly since the baby came home though
