Had no hope for this guy but I hope he does well.

  5. Actually he's doing very well. In thi week's Voetbal International an article is dedicated to his resurrection.
He's forming with the masterfull Götze and powerhouse Sangare the midfield, in which Guti does things we didnot see before. In the last match he won all his tackles, he won of all PSV players the most arial duels etc. He has benched capatain van Ginkel.
A second Mata in the making?

Guti's second coming is something the Mexican national team needed badly. Especially an aging Guardado and an out of form Herrera that we're probably going to get in the WC. Hopefully he keeps racking up those minutes and finally gets a call up again by Tata.

  7. Well, apart from being a technical skillful player, he seems to have added a fighting mentality to that.

    He's doing pretty decent!

One of the reasons PSV play a bit better lately. Nothing special yet though, but it's a good start.

Let's see what PSV can do in the Europa League.

  10. Guti takes on FC Utrecht, the team that beat both Feyenoord and Ajax this season.
And it's off to a rough start:

  15. He was so mobile, he gave the assist and was so fast he got in front of the shot, so the ref was asked by the VAR to look if he didnot interfere with the play in off side position.:ROFLMAO:

    Injured players are returning.

Nonetheless, I expect him to stay a starter.

This Thursday is the most important game until the winter break.

If they do not lose against Real Sociedad they will go to the next round of the Europa League and play one of the number 3s of the CL.

The remaining league games are relatively easy, whereas Ajax still needs to play against AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord. Hence, given the only 2-point gap with Ajax, PSV is well-positioned to enter 2022 with a good position to win the league.

  20. Now there's a real competition for spots in the line up, while some players not so long ago looked like written off.

Guti starts in their Group stage finale today versus Real Sociedad. PSV need a draw/win to ensure they advance to knockout round.
