This is a fairly common complaint. I don't know how long they take to break in but all I can suggest is trying thicker inner soles or wearing to pairs of socks to try and minimise the effects.

I have also had this problem...after about 7/8 wears they are still giving me trouble despite using blister pads etc, so they are being binned..cellerators for me now!

Try putting Vaseline on the insides of the heels. It will reduce the friction. Also try Mole Skin (real light fabric that goes over blisters, somewhat like pre-wrap).

I got a few blisters. I just found them to be really really wide! So i dont really wear them very often. I'll stick my vapors which incidently DONT give me blisters! :D

I love my vapors. I've got the new Beckkham Preds now, but I've only worn them a few times because after my vapors they feel so heavy, and I'm a centre-back most of the time! I've had two pairs, and I prefer them to anything I've ever worn. A few seconds of pain in the good old english weather is the only thing wrong with these boots. (My advice, try not to get trod on too much in the freezing cold.) Actually, I don't know why, but I have never had a blister from a single pair of boots I have ever owned in my life.:) (No jokes.)

Neither have I! Have used Lots of different brands over the years, and have never had problems like I have with the AZT3s. I persevered because otherwise they are really comfortable, and tried a few things, but no joy.

Got some Cellerators now, but am looking forward to gettign hold of some legends.

i have only had blisters from my vapors. but i have 2 pairs of azt90iii and i have never had a problem, im looking at the heel of them now and i just cant see how the heel would cause blisters. wot i did to allow my blisters to heel as i broke in my vapors was i put some of that band aid tape on the blister and wore some tube-a-grip you know the strechy bandage stuff (veron wears it below his knee) over my heels and i never felt a thing it was fantastic.

blisters are the result of friction, as you all probably know, so your problem with the azt90III's is probably that they are too wide or too big for you. Make sure your foot doesn't slide around in your boot and you'll be good. Also, vaseline is the only thing that ever worked for me.

How about those Umbro Xais. I ordered a pair and they are still on their way. Could you do a boot review on them for me.

I had the same problem when I first got my AZT3's, but after a few weeks it went away and the blisters turned into calluses... and I can honestly say it was worth it :)

Best cleats I've ever used! Just stick with it!

I didn't even try..I am still going to hold on to them and take them to training etc, in the hope that one day I can wear them for more than 30mins!
