Perspective: $50 billion to vaccinate the world is what U.S. billionaires have made every two weeks in the pandemic. https://t.co/wXCN3xTO3T— Dan Price (@DanPriceSeattle) December 1, 2021
It needs to be said that abortions will happily be provided if pro lifers get their mistresses pregnant. Or if their daughters get pregnant. The abortion debate in the US is so frustrating because the question of what decreases the abortion rate is a solved one. We know how to make abortions less common: Reliable affordable contraception + good sex ed. But pro-lifers don't want to do what works, so we're stuck here.— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) December 1, 2021
Are they? I can see pros and cons… If you think liberal Twitter is sweating through today's Supreme Court proceedings, only imagine how the national Republican campaign committees are feeling.— David Frum (@davidfrum) December 1, 2021
Six years ago this month, Hillary Clinton tweeted that "A Republican president could nominate as many as 4 Supreme Court justices" & linked a warning that it could lead to the end of Roe v. Wade. Her replies were filled with left-wingers accusing her of "fear mongering." pic.twitter.com/0lCRJKoMsB— Ashton Pittman (@ashtonpittman) December 1, 2021
Stinky Bratts: Justice Sotomayor is right. The precedent on Roe is clear. The facts and law have not changed, only the composition of the Supreme Court. For the Court to now go against its precedent would only deepen the undeniable “stench” the Court That Dark Money Built cast upon itself. https://t.co/iR65wFzIB8— Sheldon Whitehouse (@SenWhitehouse) December 1, 2021
I think we can all agree to praise Biden for this. I didn't appreciate how Biden has all but halted the drone war, especially compared to Trump https://t.co/kjTNuWdw3r pic.twitter.com/wE7qyqjAmO— ryan cooper (@ryanlcooper) November 30, 2021
In case you’ve forgotten that The Former Guy is a sociopath A day after he secretly tested positive for Covid, Trump went on to attend an event with Gold Star families, who he then later suggested had given *him* the virus because he couldn’t observe social distancing when “they want to hug me and kiss me.” https://t.co/YX0jfySHIf— Vera Bergengruen (@VeraMBergen) December 1, 2021 TFG wasn't just trying to get Joe Biden sick at that debate. His entire family showed up unmasked and refused to put one on. They were trying to take out everybody in that room.— Ragnarok Lobster 🐺 (@eclecticbrotha) December 1, 2021
None of this is a surprise. I remember thinking at the time that this was a likely possibility, given he showed up late, his family refused to wear a mask, and super-spreader events occurred shortly thereafter where he was the main common denominator. In my mind, this confirmation should not surprise anyone.
GQP has the refs: Hey this reminds me that the presidential debate commission is now and has always been run by a Republican; it has performed shamefully, and should be remade or disbanded entirely. https://t.co/FKXXSvyl0i— Jamison Foser (@jamisonfoser) December 1, 2021
I was recently rebuked for asking what do we do when the moderators (not just BigSoccer, but in general) are on the side of the conspiracy-theorists? It is a reasonable question.
In some places that’s obviously true, like the Supreme Court, or the Debate Commission. In other places they’re not exactly on their side, but they act like those refs that allow severe hacking by one team, don’t show any cards (allegedly to have a better flowing game), then around halftime they eject a guy who got his first yellow for complaining.
Across the country, Republicans have cut unemployment benefits, claiming that these benefits pay people not to work.Meanwhile, the same Republicans are passing laws that promise unemployment checks to vaccine refusers. It's socialism for anti-vaxxers. https://t.co/1JV1WZ1usL— Will Saletan (wsaletan on Threads) (@saletan) December 1, 2021

What is the adage shocked but not surprised or vice versa. You tell yourself there's no bottom but then every now and then they commit actions or you find out actions they committed that demonstrate that and you're still just left shaking your head like wow!!
