Putting this here: Ok, #Crew96 family, I want to hear from you. I’ve got a project that I need some feedback on. All I need is 45 min of your time and some opinions tomorrow at 7pm. Email me at supporterrelations@columbuscrew.com and I’ll send you a zoom link. No NDA’s required, just vibes ha.— Ty Phillips (@chaiteaaddict) November 18, 2021
"Please help me pretend that I'm interacting with 'The Fans' by participating in my narrowly constructed 'project'" When he holds a Zoomer where anyone can ask anything they want and say anything they please, do let me know.
In typical Crew front office fashion, I just got a survey link emailed at 4:04pm. Clicked on it at 4:06pm and get a survey is closed page.
Just was asking to identify who key sponsors are. I think more to gauge how well they are doing sponsors messaging.
I’ll buy season tickets when they get rid of that horrible logo. I went to the opener and 1 other gm. next year i won’t likely attend a gm unless it’s a playoff gm .
For what it's worth: The prizes for the Nordecke Cup and Nordecke FIFA Cup in a few days are yellow 2022 Columbus Crew SC authentic jerseys. So I guess we won't have that to bitch about anymore.
I don't think they're planning to reveal the jersey anytime soon. Just promising the winners freebies when they're available.
Watching Cavs game and they are selling a monthly ticket pass. Crew is missing opportunities here if they don't have something like this in 2022. With tickets sales in most all sports down, they need to be more creative. The opening day scarves is a good start, hoping to see more in the future.
I loved it when OSU basketball had their season pass for $100 and you wouldn't be issued a ticket until gameday. We'd usually end up in the nosebleeds, but we got lower bowl a few times. Just depends on the demand for the game.
The experience in the Schott anywhere out of the lower bowl is why I stopped going (and, to be fair, basketball is not one of my top sports). I miss St. John. Now I fully understand why the change was made. They pretty much needed to in order to remain a top program. I just enjoyed the atmosphere in St. John more. I will note that basketball is better at Nationwide due to the design where the upper deck overhangs the bowl more.
Trust me, I will be chaining myself to the front doors of SJA when they finally go to tear her down. That place is meant for college basketball. I just liked this deal because we could get tickets for $5/game and usually, we could slip down to the lower bowl after the first media timeout.
I used to go to St. John over holiday break for games for similar reasons. I think they had a cheap ticket then, too, as the students were home. Not a bad seat in the house.
I requested more info on 9 game packages weeks ago…still haven’t gotten a response back. Never change sales team, never change…
Maybe this has been posted elsewhere. I haven’t really looked. Allegedly the 2022 full schedule is to be released on 12/15.
I second, third, fourth, whatever the idea of a flex pass. It'd probably need small restrictions like "one game per month" and a lack of STM item or party access, but it would definitely sell more seats. No guaranteed seats, but guaranteed price level (such as upper south, lower south, upper east corners.) No premium seats or lower sidelines. If the price level is sold out, the person would be bumped down and credited as appropriate. Additional tickets could be added on for day-of-game price. Of course, we used to have the exchange policy where someone could essentially take a group of 15-16 people to one game. Blackout dates followed and, TBH, I'm not even sure if there is such a policy now. It's a shame they can't/don't/won't offer those "Four individual tickets and merch" items to the public. The FO used to do that stuff on a regular basis until some STM complained. Those promos can help sell tickets to less-popular games, but they also lessen the value of the cost of dropping hundreds of dollars to games 7-9 months out. You really don't want prospective customers asking "Why should I drop a small fortune in November when I can get the same thing and maybe more later on?" As a business, the main goal should always be to sell the full season tickets. Do whatever you gotta do to get people "over the hump" to commit...but flex passes, partial plans and individual game promos also have their place. Summary: Flex passes nice, but need restrictions. Promos can work, but also have a major risk of backfiring and upsetting people who paid many months ago.
