Dude bet on himself despite barely playing until both Varane and Ramos got injured. Had the opportunity to go out on loan last January, but decided to stay and fight despite being 4th choice CB at that time. Very happy for his success since then.
Head screwed on right, he's young he's at Madrid and Madrid want him here, so was just a matter of being patient, he understood
This kid is lowkey having a very good season, very solid alongside Alaba, would have grabbed a couple of goals as well already if he actually aimed his headers at the goal instead of only god knows where.
Same as attackers' flaw. I gasp everytime one of our forwards do a slide tackle. I feel their timing is way off and they would get sent off.
📊| Eder Militao vs Sevilla:• 7 clearances• 3 interceptions • 6 aerial duels won • 3 key passes • 1 assist Massive influence on both sides of the game. 🇧🇷 #rmalive pic.twitter.com/MmXcspSxMF— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) November 28, 2021
Shocking marking in their goal though. Massive upside, but he needs less of those mistakes, seems like he has one of those a game.
Militao is still young for a defender. Their peak is usually 28-32 so he can only get better. Unless he Varanes his own progress.
RM have only conceded 6 and scored 22 in last 9 games since back to back defeats vs Sheriff and Espanyol. Team still has issues in good part due to over reliance on playing aging KCM midfield without any rest basically, but defense has done a reasonable job in last 5-6 weeks.
Fair enough but that aging midfield is partly responsible for those good scoring AND defensive numbers putting us top of the league and our CL group
Just saying we need to rotate more. Hopefully, Fede will stay fit to have a consistent run of games. Can't run Modric to the ground at 36.
What a game. Dude was looking like 2006 Cannavaro out there with the last ditch goal saving blocks and tackles. And then should have had the soft assist near the end of the game when Vin missed the 1v1 with Eder releasing him with the through ball. Whoever scouted him and fought for his signature, buy that man a beer.
Man has got everything, strong in the air and on the ground, quick, anticipates well, passes well long and short, has vision to find and release the players in front of him, can bring the ball forward at his feet, as complete a defender as i have ever seen and hopefully can only get better
And we sold him for a massive profit. A win in my book. Also responsible for Lucas Silva, but that was so cheap it doesn't matter to miss with those.
This. Militao reminds me of prime Pepe, in playing style and body shape. Whereas Alaba reminds me of Ramos in both.
Everytime this guy makes a goalsaving block or clearance he walks off like a boss. No stress no worries no nothing. Absolute boss this lad
Eder is a real beast, arguably world class right now. Getting him for 50 million euros looks more and more like a bargain.
