One of them will have a free role like Carlo gave Hazard in opening games this season. So not bothered who starts on LW.

He’s been trying to score a goal like that since he came up. Finally went in, but all that means is he now has a new skill unlocked. Scary times ahead, up up and away.

He's a champion, his never say die attitude is what's going to set him apart from the other talented youngsters in the future.
Didn't have the best of games today because he let Sevilla get into his head, he's still young so the veterans around him need to make sure he's alright as it happens, they need to tell him to calm down and focus on his game, he plays his best football when he's enjoying himself and i bet the opponents know this as well which is why they constantly try to piss him off.
Despite all of that he came in clutch when it mattered, this is what Ronaldo used to do, Vini is on his way.

I think David and Case are trying to do just that on the pitch, trying to keep him focussed when he gets riled up by opponents

Not that that I'm saying he is...

But imagine Vinnie reaching Ronaldo's level.

The goal is more than the shot, he controls the ball with great purpose, directs it around the defender with his chest, that is a difference. It's one thing to put your head down and run fast, and another to put your skill to good use and put all those things in order.

He made staying up late worth it only to just watch this goal. Even back when he was completely raw, watching him live you could tell that people were at the edge of their seat waiting for something special. Watching him on TV is one thing, but if you have the opportunity to watch him live it changes your opinion, people have always felt it. When he ran with the ball you could sense the energy around you, that's special.

He finally looks like Madrid material. I love hardworking players and I could never complain about that, but Madrid will always demand more than hard work. We demand excellence. And Vini is finally delivering excellent performances, winning games for us.
I'll never deny I had big questions about Vini (blindingly supporting anyone is idiotic anyway), but it seems things finally clicked. Happy for him and for us.

Big difference was that he put his foot through it CR7-style (fittingly given the celebration) instead of constantly trying to curl it in top corner.

How in gods name are teams going to cope with Vinni and Mbappe on the counter next year?

I’m not even going to mention that other blonde guy….

Technique looked familiar, and his drive too, had no doubt in his mind he was going to score (I did no lie, he skied too easier shots earlier in the game lol).

Actually, I did not want Perez to spend 150 million on Mbappe at the time. He was too much of a project. He was the best player of his age group at the time, but there must be another "Mbappe" to emerge sooner or later. There was no point of gambling on a teenager for that amount of money who only spent half a season at the French league. I told myself Maradona played with Platini. Pele with Eusebio and Garrincha, Cruyff with Beckenbauser, etc. Mbappe must have his adversary somewhere. I thought of VJ on his first season here. But as of later 2020, I thought that I was so wrong. Mbappe was the best player in the world while VJ's future was very uncertain. That adversary could be Felix, Fati, Sancho or Haaland. Except Haaland, we will unlikely to get the other three. Now, the other three are now having some difficulties while Mbappe might be playing with VJ. I do not want to comment further on Haaland. He might be here next season, but I do believe that the third member of our future trio should be Rodrygo.

I definitely noticed the different technique to what he usually shoots with when they showed the replay. Did you see how he used the side of his foot more than the top but not too much that it makes it curl. He was looking for a linear trajectory from that angle and I think he even wanted it to stay flatter than it actually did so he used just enough of the side foot to get the precision and Keep it on target and it paid off. The way he hit the ball, great technique and skill. I literally said oh my god!! when the ball went into the top corner. Not a lot of moments get that kind of a natural reaction from long time (jaded) fans like us.

Huge credit to the GK for even getting a finger on it.

Wow. Great anecdote. People should remember stuff like this when they are assessing the clubs management and acquisitions and not just remember the things that didn’t pan out.

It's good seeing him come good. Just not this quick. It's a lot that tells you about his mentality. I always liked him. Someone here said he is going to be more of ADM than Neymar but hey he's here now taking games by the horns himself.

Him and Rodrygo definitely deserve credit. They came young and with CR leaving, Bale and Hazard not being it and Isco and Asensio not being as reliable consistently as we all thought. They had to mature quick. Credit to teammates, coaches and management.

It's incredible the first galatico era Madrid wasn't a place for young kids but now with Scouting you can see it's the place to go even for raw kids with potential.

I think since 2010, RM has only signed two players over 26. Modric and Hazard. Latter was basically due to pressure to sign a "Galactico" after Ron left. It's a very good strategy because you get prime years of players once they prove to be RM quality. Start contrast from Galactico 1.0 where Figo, ZZ, R9, Beckham etc were in late 20s when we signed them and only 3-4 years left in the tank at a high level. Ramos and Robinho probably kick started the change in policy in 2005.
