Fantastic early run from Lucho just beat the Liverpool defense left a teammate 1 on 1 (who blew it)

His finishing is great. As a variation late in games, I could imagine playing Lucho as the nine with Sinisterra and Valoyes on the wings and have them all rotating positions. It'd be one of the fastest front threes in the world...

Jesus this guy is exceeding how fast I thought he'd really refine into a goalscorer. He's leading Portugal playing as a LM, not even in a front 3 but in a midfield 4, it's kind of crazy, thought his ceiling was as high as could be but he's really not wasting any time. Could you imagine that he's broken out to be a star with the squad we already have and we are still this bad offensively? It's kind of insane to me the weapons we have and still can't really produce many goals.

The mf doesn’t create. It’s hope Diaz or Zapata do something themselves.

I mean I hope it clicks. We are a team that burns hot and bright and fades out. I’d take crawling into the wc. Crawling out of Group stages then all troll wins to lift our 1st World Cup. Fking Italy was total shit the last time they won it. They fking had to cheat against the USA.

no one cares how you win as long as you win.

I remember Brazil cheating against turkey where Ronaldniho got someone red carded for hitting him and nothing happened.

the best team doesn’t win but people only remember the winner

You’re thinking of Rivaldo 2002 who is still public enemy number 1 to any Turkish futbol fan LOL

You are right about Italy in 2006. Even Argentina grinded their way to the WC final in 2014 and Croatia grinded out every game to the point they played an extra game worth of minutes to get to the final in 2018 - which is a testament to their fitness levels - something we lack completely seeing how pretty much everyone gets injured at the worst times.

It’s funny how in hindsight Brazil fans say the 1994 winning team was boring to watch, but I remember all my Brazilian fans in south Florida were going nuts when they won. It’s like people who complain that Floyd mayweather wins all his matches by decision instead of KO

So I agree with you CRZD - but I just want us to score a couple of goals in the process. I’ll even take a 4-3 win from time to time. the C0-0mbia style is too draining emotionally LOL

I think his goal against Brazil is gonna win the Puskas; so far his video has had more views and more likes than any of the other nominations significantly enough on Youtube.

Of course, actually voting on FIFA.com is what matters.

Another goal and another match winner for Lucho who is the top scorer in the Portuguese league and has kept Porto in 1st place. Amazing numbers considering where he plays on the field.

Another goal of lucho for league...draw the score.

But it seema that for colombian media is more important the assist of james in qatar than this or the borre brace

Diaz is our super star now, the guy is getting into constant really good positions and his dribbling is such that you can't really stop him getting there on the ball and his movement into those areas off the ball is really good now too. This guy is the top scorer in a not super offensive minded team playing in a midfield of a 4-4-2, who since maybe Ronaldo has produced this kind of offensive in that position? He has defensive responsibilities in that spot yet is putting up ridiculous numbers and is not just running hot, his metrics are off the chart and he's become a super star.

I really just desperately want to see him in a 4-3-3 where he can have a lot more freedom to attack and doesn't need to come so deep so often, for club and for us I think once that happens he take another step offensively.

when Lucho takes us to two world cups or is the top scorer in 1 then he will be the golden child. Till then it’s James who hopefully gets his shit together and just goes to a team like Atalanta or Lazio and makes them contenders

james will always garnish more interest as long as Lucho is in Porto. I doubt people feel James is a better player, but he was such a big part of Colombian football in the last decade that people want to see if he can redeem himself

but we all know Lucho is it man

    what a stud

    ps

hope he doesn’t join Liverpool. Don’t wanna see him as a super sub
