What a shit qualifying format. They should've kept the playoffs the way they were. Portugal and Italy have to eliminate each other while a bunch of other minnows get an easy path. Italy missing 2 world cups in a row will be huge and this will be CR7 last wc so he'll be extra motivated

That would be wicked. Portugal/Portuguese clubs are the bogeyman for Dutch football. We hardly ever beat them. So that would eliminate one stumbling block for us.
If Italy runs into the cliffs too, that would take away one hell of a candidate for the WC title. So that would improve the chances for the Orange Squad immensely.
