What a shit qualifying format. They should've kept the playoffs the way they were. Portugal and Italy have to eliminate each other while a bunch of other minnows get an easy path. Italy missing 2 world cups in a row will be huge and this will be CR7 last wc so he'll be extra motivated
True. Couldn't beat the Swiss or Northern Ireland in their last 2 games. Now they got an even harder uphill battle
Yep. If it happens, like Colima said they can't blame anyone but themselves. Choked when they had destiny in their own hands
In b4 Qatar gets a group with Scotland, Panama and Tunisia... and still manages to not make it past the group stage.
And they haven't been faring particularly well since, particularly against sides better than an Azerbaijan, Luxembourg or El Salvador.
I didn't want to see Italy and Portugal in same path because I want both in WC but Italy is better coached and has way more balance even though I think Portugal has more talent apart from Ronaldo... Coaching for Portugal leaves a lot to be desired tho... They must be expecting him to save them. Which he can but he doesn't press or defend so they need to figure that part out...
That would be wicked. Portugal/Portuguese clubs are the bogeyman for Dutch football. We hardly ever beat them. So that would eliminate one stumbling block for us. If Italy runs into the cliffs too, that would take away one hell of a candidate for the WC title. So that would improve the chances for the Orange Squad immensely.

You could try one of this: -José Esquivel -José Rodríguez -Ulises Rivas-Víctor Guzman (Xolos)-Raymundo Fulgencio -Kevin Castañeda-Omar Govea Ojo, pongo a unos acá que creo que podrían ir por el simple hecho de ser jugadores gratis.*Datos de Transfermarkt— Alexx Carrasquedo (@AlexCarZe) November 25, 2021 Or maybe one of the Mexicans at MLS like Julián Araujo, David Ochoa or Efraín Álvarez as projects. I've also thought for a while that European teams looking for inexpensive, young and less risky talent, should take a look at Liga de Expansión.
