Why not bro? Besides being a bigger name they are the current champions and with today’s victory Inter are only 4 points from the top. They are also in champions league and will advance to next round

Chucky has already been registered with Napoli in Champions and would not be able to play. If Inter was knocked out and to the Europa he could play.

Napoli is in the EL, not the CL.

True but wasn't Napoli in the qualifying stages of Champions League?

Ha, you are correct. Completely forgot about that terrible 5th place finish and Juve snuck in.

As for ability to play he'd be fine even in the group stage:

Can clubs include players who were fielded in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League or in either of the other men's club competitions?
Yes. A player who has been fielded in the preliminary round, or in the first, second or third qualifying round, or in the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League for another club as from the group stage.

Said it before and got some grief here. Olympic tournaments are not very good indication of future success. The only teams that take em seriously is the host country or 2nd rate soccer powers. The 1st world nations take young unknown up and comers or close to retirement. Read France could not take 8-9 eligible players because their teams did not give permission. So they were stuck with Ginac. Lol.

how is that bronze medal working out for lainez now ??

I don’t know if they’re great indicators of success or not but I think you mean, the only ones who don’t take them seriously are the European teams. Everybody else does - including Brazil and Argentina.

Sí, pero el punto es que muchos mexicanos tuvieron oportunidades de irse a Europa y ahora andan dando vergüenza en la liga mexicana, estancados en su nivel.

I don’t get it, we have a ton of guys like him and Araujo. I’m assuming that the MLS is internally facilitating moves to Europe.

Among everything I've heard, one thing is that they're very well-connected in terms of agents. Can't confirm it for sure, but it makes sense. Have any of you seen a USL match? There's probably far more talent in the European U-23 squads where you find the fringe academy players.

CAA sports and the Wasserman group are US sports agencies that have bought European agencies in the last two years. These new links have led to more US players going to Europe, so double nationals will also get the opportunity to go to Europe. The focus on US based players can be a blessing in disguise if we can get players to Europe at a younger age and they decide to play for Mexico.
So the US players going to Europe is an inflated market, what have the transfer fees been for those players? Compare those fees to Mexican players who have gone to Europe.

Romo leaving or getting a fat new contract with Cruz Azul

there’s been rumors about him being sorta upset with the club over not letting him leave to Europe in the Summer, so either Cruz Azul drops a load of cash outside his house or my guy leaves

Supposedly Getafe was ready to get him and the Cruz Azul asked for a lot and they then proceeded to sign Jakub Jankto with that same money they were offering Cruz Azul. Apparently the geniuses haven't learned their lesson and are asking for 8 million even though Romo is going to be able to sign with another club in 6 months a la Orbelin.

Rumours going around are saying the Antuna-Córdova swap is done and Vergara Jr is willing to splash the cash for Romo.

Hopefully this is not true and that swap doesn’t happen. I also thought Chivas was broke, couldn’t buy as they still owed on some of they’re previous transfers and had to sell players. Chivas just ruining players careers as of late.

Someone recently said I forgot on which channel that we can’t really blame the clubs for our players not going to Europe if the players don’t do their part. I think they’re completely right.

Antuna has been meh for a while and Córdova nowadays is more focused on pumping out commercials. A swap could be what both guys need.
