If he doesn’t play on Saturday next week then we can be a little concerned.

Yeah I think it could be a rest. He had to play right after coming back from USMNT duty due to an injury.

Came on in the back 3 on the left, with Vogt moving to the center of the back line, moving Grillitsch up to his more natural midfield spot as a midfielder came off. Hoffenheim was already up two goals and a man, and Hertha had pretty well surrendered.

No particularly notable plays in his eight minutes, very conservative, but that was called for.

Richards is on the bench today - might be just as well for US.

That’s two games in a row now :/. Let’s hope coming back after the international break changes things.

Wild sequence. GK on GK PK. Oh my word!!! Wow. Hoffenheim defender - off the ball - reacted to what he thought was a dive and pretty violently two handed shoved Bochum player. Lucky to not get a red card and received only a yellow. Rightfully so called a penalty. A little bit of mayhem while play was reviewed on VAR. Then Bochum GK steps up to take the PK, slips, and skies the shot into Row Z. Could have sealed the game but Bochum still up 1-0.

Not sure — if that impacts Gregg’s willingness to start him against Mexico might not be great for him. Glad he got around 30 mins though.

Very weird to have a 33-year-old GK who last took a penalty in 2012 try one in a 0-0 game.

Richards subbed in minute 73 to help preserve a 2-0 win over Leipzig.

What didn’t you like? I mean sure, he’s not a dazzling technical striker but on the other hand almost every attack that goes his way in the box fizzles out, which is what you want in a defender.
