Things got heated post match too.

The Portuguese player was almost crying. Gore (I think) went up to shake his hand. He struck it out begrudgingly and then I don't know if words were exchanged after a weird hand-shake and then the Portuguese kid just wanted to fight.

Yeah, I saw this too. At first I was actually feeling sorry for the Portuguese kid as it was the one who did the poor back pass for our first goal so was obviously not feeling the best but he really seemed to let himself down by not wanting to shake hands and then like you said I think words were said.

Regular for our u23s but missed every FL Trophy game due to England, the entire point of the u23s being in that cup is so they can play a proper match against men

Sammy Braybrooke and Will Alves were on the bench for us at home to Watford, Braybrooke didn't get on but Alves came on for the last 5 mins.

Lewis Brunt played the whole game in CM

I shouldn't have brought Brunt up in this thread he is 21, Alves is 16 however so should be on the radar for the future

He's only played one game all season for Brighton. Not sure if he's been injured or frozen out on account of him not extending.

I thought he was more like a ten but he looks good in that deeper position.

Unsure how talented overall this 2004 year group is, seems lacking at center back for example but the midfielders sure are interesting. George Hall linked to Leeds & Southampton in the Daily Mail yesterday. Braybrooke highly rated. Not sure what position Lewis Hall will end up at but he's mostly played midfield for England. I believe Darko Gyabi was considered one of the best talents in the country but less so now.:cautious:

Alfie Devine & Charlie Webster have both played above their year group. Collyer also participated in a training camp with the 2003 lads so I hope Manchester United will be able to fit him in with Gore, Mainoo etc.

Braybrooke and Devine are standouts for me… but can’t say I have seen all of them enough to be a sage judge.

Good to see JBG back. A little surprised that he's not in the 19s given how well he's been performaning in the Youth League.

Devine consistently being selected a year above his age group (even Captained in September) suggests they rate him highly.

Just checked when he gained his last cap and seems to have been pre-Covid.

I mentioned earlier about the promise of the 2004 born central midfielders but the attacking options are also pretty decent; aside from JBG there's also obviously Shoretire. Soonsup-Bell & Kaide Gordon are coming back from injury. Dane Scarlett with the 2003 lads.

I don't watch much academy football but Cannonier looks a goal machine. There's also Mubama & Perkins at West Ham. I thought the latter was more of a midfielder but Transfermarkt records him generally featuring as a center forward this season.:cautious:

What does anyone know of Jedan Williams? Noticed he scored 5 goals yesterday for Spurs, maybe he’s one for the future?

just checked his stats and has 10 goals in 16 games for their U18’s, obviously 5 of those is in one game so not really sure about his potential.
