Neuhaus working his ass off and the other dude takes the ball to get on the score sheet after he didnt do anything prior. This is something you dont do in an intact team. It's just not proper conduct

Hofmann seems to do well in a load of positions the ability to play in a variety of does help the team. His main positions is obviously : Right Midfield (RM) even though he has done well as a Right Wing (RW) . He played well as a Right Back(RB) Centre Midfield (CM) even seen him play well at 2nd Striker (SS) before.

Not a bad performance for an improvised team like this one. I liked Hofmann in particular.

Dull game, but I have new found respect for the tenacity displayed by Ginter.

Job done, professional performance agree Ginter and Hofmann were good. Liked Raum too.

So 3 months, 7 wins out of 7 so far in the Flick era. 31:2 goals. Yeah easy opponents but it seems the team has regained the ability to consistently thrash weaker teams.

In terms of individual players, the big winners so far under Flick imo are Hofmann, Sané and Kehrer. Hofmann and Kehrer weren’t even in Euro squad but now look like probable starters, and Sané club form has transferred to a large degree into the NT (not so much today) but still a long way from the horrible performance v Hungary.

Mediocre performance but acceptable given the number of injuries and quarantined players.

One good goal. Two goals from errors although one was a forced error through pressing.

I hope people here watched the France - Kazahkstan game. Tremendous team performance and an outstanding performance by Mbappe. That is what a world class player does. That is what a Ballon D'Or candidate does. Not a single goal contribution every few games.

Some points of note about general play and some players IMHO:

One of the supposed advantages of 3 at the back is that you get more in the box headed attack from set plays. This was non existant for us. Our corners were very poor.

I found we were playing too much like we would under Low.

Sometimes I got the feeling Flick wanted the team to practice playing against transitions.

Sane wasn't at his best but I still thought he did well.

Hofmann was very good. His finish was nice.

Neuhaus was hard working and was good but made a couple key mistakes. The penalty, and a couple of giveaways led to counterattacks.

Tah did well but should still be nowhere near the NT.

Raum was decent but his crossing could have been better. His speed in dealing with transition counterattacks can be useful.

Havertz. Very well taken goal. However he should be making more of an impact over the entire game. He had a couple other chances and his shooting was poor. His goal contributions are 1 every several games. That's not good enough. I stand by my assertion that he peaked 2 years ago and has nowhere further to go. I am desperate to be proven wrong.

Volland. I continue to ask why. Yet again he had a chance to make an impact and fluffed it. Should be nowhere near the NT.

4 for Raum, Tah & Sané seems pretty harsh. They weren’t bad.

Agree, Raum should have better than a 4. Thought Tah was good with some nice interceptions.
Not Sanés best game, but nice to see that raised his lowest level this high. Hope he can keep it up.

Our opponents were so poor that even with scoring plethora of goals, this international break feels underwhelming….hope to play against some quality oppositions next year to see where do we stand…
