Incompetence at it's best. It was clear that HH and Romo were out of gas and we were holding on for dear life in the 2nd half and he makes no subs. It was obvious he should have subbed in Sanchez for Chaka (who shouldn't be anywhere near the NT) and was on a yellow as soon as Pulisic came in to man mark him. I love the 433, but he has been figured out like Hugo was with his 442 infatuation.
Gone are the days of a dynamic young player being run out in high pressure situations and throwing the opponent off guard and on its heels. The USA let everyone know that pulisic was going to be a super sub and our dipshit coach didn’t even plan on it and got worked. lol. The move was telegraphed. That’s some disrespect coming from Berhalter. Good for him. Tata is a chimp.
It does look like the US players are taking this rivalry more personally and with more to prove. They actually haven’t looked good besides when they play us.
I love HH, but I think he's done. Too slow now a days for this level, I can see why Cholo doesn't use him much. Romo needs to gtfo out of México. Only Alvarez looked like he can hang.
Every time the game requires a lot of athleticism, Romo gets left behind. He’s so alike to Guti in that regard.
It's been mentioned alot but Tecatito needs to be benched. His head hasn't been in the game for a while. It was frustrating yesterday watching him kill Mexico's possesion time after time.
Umm hello, Haven't been on or watch a game in a while. Mexico has looked donkey the last times I've watch them. Last night was disappointing. US deserves credit, their boys looked great and confident. Qatar is going to suck... Looking for 2026!
I thought Corona had an improved performance against the US than his the last 4 or 5 games. I actually like Corona’s defensive contributions yesterday. He worked hard on this side of the ball than I’ve seen him in a long time. With this in mind, I wouldn’t mind him dropping back often or even convert him to a full back like he does with Porto last season. It opens up the RW position for someone else.
The US was faster, stronger, and put too much pressure. This could be easily countered with some wizardry in defense and mid like Rafa and Cuauh, even a young guardado, or Porto HH, but we don't have that anymore. We're a team with less skill, less, speed, less physicality. We finally have a tall, brilliant, in-form forward, in Raul Jimenez and we don't have the resources for this dude.
Lainez and Arteaga keeping the US offense honest would have been a major improvement over them being able to counter at will.
Tata needs to go…. As mentioned before we don’t have a deep enough talent pool to blacklist any player no matter what issues you have or don’t have with them. Vela, Chicharito might be old, play in the retirement league etc, but it’s not like our current players are generating much, if we don’t win against Canada I’m almost sure we will see a coaching change.
Wanna hear about some more FMF and Martino Incompetence? Apparently Pepi's dad is saying he didn't go to Mexico cause they never reached out. They better call up Flores and Santiago soon.
Lainez wouldn't have done shit. Too small and has only played what, 1 game? Nothing is going to change. Mexico will continue to waste our youth because they have to go through the "proceso" before getting minutes and starting. Other countries start their promising players at 17,18, 19. Mexico doesn't.
This is my point exactly. If you mention that to Liga MX diehard fans lead by the televisoras, an objective critique turns into América vs Chivas thing or a Northern vs Southern Mexico thing. It is unreal.
