Tecatito is bad. No one can disagree with this.

A player of a league isn’t bad. I do think he ends up dribbling too much and traps himself

Night and day on corners and set pieces since Montes has started.

    No manches...damn.

Tecatito is a great player but he’s currently in a bad spot mentally IMO and in bad form. We need him to get back to the level of play he’s capable of. No knock on him...it’s just where he’s at right now.

Without Montes and an out of form Tecatito I see a tie at best. Would have been nice to have an in form Lainez and Vega as options. Antuna is useful only if we are winning and they start leaving gaps.

He was the one salvageable set piece player (defender or attacking) - IMO. I think Johan does alright pero don’t think he will be starting

Not an official ban or anything, but the kid hasn't been called-up since he rejected the Olympics and the Gold Cup despite being healthy, playing well and in Europe while Gallardo has been super shaky and Oswaldo Rodriguez is just a guy. 2 and 2.

Tecate hasn't played in weeks. No reason for him to start. Just do a double pivote with romo and alvarez. 3 attacking mids ( lozano, charly, HH, because he does better up top than defending) and Raul as the forward.

Our spine upfront is in pretty decent form.
From Raul, Lozano to Alvarez, Romo, Charly.

Just don't give up crap goals and we should win.
The Nads nor Cunucks don't have the scoring talent or their guys are not in form.

I feel like people are holding on to the version of Tecate that we had before. He’s a damn good player but he’s been horrible for over a year now. If Tecatito’s been on the upswing the past few NT games then I’ve for sure been watching the wrong ones.

No one’s saying that Antuna or Alvarado are better players but at this point in Tecatito’s drought, you need to start considering other options. If Berhalter’s been watching, he’d do well in just employing Canada’s strategy of blocking Lozano’s wing and forcing us to attack through Tecatito’s.

Problem is, none of Sepulveda, Moreno and Vazquez are that tall (for a CB) though, they all are around 1.82 m, here is where not having Araujo or Montes hurts the most.

No we don't. We're going to play a 4-3-3 and based on that his competition is only Alvarado.
Since there's no Antuna nor Lianez.
And even if there was Look at the games and tell us who would create havoc or chances like Tecatito has.
Against Honduras. He was the one who made the run and shot on target that eventually led to the goal by Cordova.

Then shortly after he fleeced the Honduran LB and gave a good ball to Raul that he hit the pole with. After this he made another good run and because he is skilled. The Honduran backed off. Which allowed him to serve up a decent ball which ended in a goalscoring opportunity for Lozano.

All of this in one half

Alvarado's unathletic, unskilled bitch ass wouldn't do this in 4 games.

I would be willing to give up on Tecate and consider someone else but we don’t really have better options he’s still our best option and we just don’t have anyone better.
Maybe Vega would be ideal to replace him but I still think he’s a little inconsistent and always seems to get injured

Vega is not a RW. The only way he gets on the field is if we play Lozano at RW. But that doesn't make sense since you're removing your best player from his best position just to play Vega.

Hopefully the guys don't commit stupid fouls, but that's too much to ask. Tengo miedo every time there's a dead ball situation. Most of their goals against us come from a dead ball.

Its going to be a complicated game like it usually is. The U.S. is going to try to play their hearts out and they have the heart and talent to get the result.

In Mexico's case they can also get the win if they play a good 90 minute game without any stupid fouls (too much to ask were Mexico).

    With that said Vamos Mexico!!!!!
