How are Stengs and Kluivert doing at Nice? It seems only Rosario is playing regularly. Is Kluivert still injured?

Yes, Kluivert is still out injured. I don't know about Stengs, he might be hurt as well. Neither have played all that well. IMO, Kluiverts only skill is bringing down and controlling long cross field passes. He's excellent here but he does not possess great speed that a winger needs.

Luukinho appears to be on his way out of Barca. Reports are he will be available during the January transfer window. Maybe PSV will bring him in to spell Zahavi.

    Deadtigers repped this.
  4. PSV spent/spends over 2 million a year on Zahavi. It's wasted money they could have offered to Sam Lammers to make him stay and develop into a NT striker.
Zahavi missers have cost PSV tens of millions already.

joel piroe as well. is having a block buster start to life at swans . 9 goals and 3 assits in 15 games.

I also starting to like what Im seeing of Zirkzee. scored twice in the belgium cup and and then twice again in the weekend for Anderlecht. he is also sitting on 6 goals in 11 games with mostly of the bench.

I'd call up Piroe over LDJ to be the backup choice for Memphis or Weghorst. Even though he plays in Championship, he is only 22 and shows consistent performance with Swansea. There is a chance that moving to EPL or higher league of face tougher competition he may not perform the same, but I will take that chance (Danjuma is a similar case).

Is he still eligible? Too lazy to check, but he might be over age.... just because I recalled that he hasn't been invited to u21 recently.

Glad to hear that he's settling good, though! Maybe like Danjuma, a season or two in lower division would give him playing times (experience) and exposure - and hopefully land him a transfer to a more competitive league. Could he be a late bloomer? I wasn't impressed the very little that I watched him while he was with PSV. He seemed to be slow and stiff - and didn't really stand out for me. But maybe he's been working hard on his positioning and finishing. Oranje NT could certainly use some forward options!

Wow… Boadu, not only missed out the Oranje Senior, but is also being frozen at the u21 level. Due to his attitude. Ouch :mad:

In the words of JO manager Van de Looi:

“Myron is a player with a lot of talent and quality and has also proven his value for the Dutch Juniors several times. We do expect a player who is called up for the Dutch Juniors to have a certain attitude and ambition, we have missed this at Myron in the past two international matches. That is why we are now making different choices.”

He needs to get it together now or risk throwing a promising career away. Sometimes idk what the hell these youngins are thinking. Clearly they’re not.

I watched PSG 3-2 Bordeaux and will say straight up, Dilrosun should be called up to NT in place of berghuis. he is better then him in almost all departments. speed, skills, strength and versatility. its not as if he was best player on the pitch but when ever he had possession he showed exceptionally technicality on the ball beating 2 players every time with his pace, touch and ability to run with ball at feet. this is something that you hardly see berghuis doing.

he was also standing over free kicks and corners showing how he has built a good stronghold in the team even though on loan. strangely though on paper he was on the LW, it looked like he was playing in the middle as shadow striker. he popped up all over the park especially in the middle dropping deep.. on the other hand bordeaux players were two shellfish and didnt service the forwards well upfront when in clear and chose to waste good opportunities by pulling the trigger themselves. He has to be the next new face in the NT, once the qualifying is secured.

.this is how I weigh the two. berghuis thrives better collectively as a group in Ajax. at NT level its all comes down to whether he is in his comfort zone or not depending on the opponent. he is simply not a big game player and vs big guns he will always suffocate.

Dilrosun is yet to be called up but individually has shown he possess qualities which is better and can bring much more than berghuis playing out from an average club. its simply, just assess them in big games. this is where you will know the true potential of a player. like Lang vs PSG. that was turning point for his selection. again looking at Dilrousn from Psg game perspective you cannot deny he is ready for NT. you can put the argument of his finishing capability though as he hasnt found the net much but you have take into consideration, his path has been different and is not the same as eredivsie players . I mean you look at Malen situation for example and how he is adapting to life in Bundasliga after been prolific in eredivisie. this will be faith of many others no matter how good they are in eredivisie. stengs, boadu etc . in this same context you can argue where does Dilrosun rank atm

I don’t know how you can say Dilrosun is ready for the NT. This is a guy that couldn’t even cut it at Hertha and got passed over and had to go out on loan to get time. He has one assist this year in 11 games and had one assist in 12 games last year.

Dilrosun has always been a player I liked as he has some nice skill and at times looked like he could turn into a star. But this is a kid that has a long way to go. He shouldn’t be close to the NT right now until he starts making much bigger impacts on games

I respectfully disagree . its not that he couldnt cut it at hertha, he was injury prone and was struggling for consistency.

    https://www.transfermarkt.com/javairo-dilrosun/leistungsdaten/spieler/315125/plus/0?saison=2020

this is the reason why he was loaned out.

He could have easily come back to eredivisie and redeem himself given his individual qualities and I bet if feyenoord would have scooped him up instead of Bordeaux, he would have already been in NT by now just like Til. Hertha were against that move and wanted him to go to a more competitive league.

being said this you have to assess him in big games like I said.

Quincy Promes has been charged with manslaughter. The maximum for this is 25 years in jail.

It was already known this would likely happen since the defense was asked to formulate research questions (to prevent tunnel vision among the prosecution).

edit: additionally, he is sued for aggravated assault. This can cost up to eight years in prison.

This again begs the question why FDB called him up for euro 2020.

I was looking forward to watching the Spurs game today but sadly Steven Bergwijn did not get a runout as the front 3 we’re the overrated Harry Kane, South Korean Son, and the Brazilian Ajax killer Lucas Moira getting the call
End of the match the camera was panned in on the hyper and overly excited Antonio Conte who was congratulating his players, but Bergwijn looked very unhappy and wanted no part of a man hug from his Italian boss.
Cannot say I blame Bergwijn coming off his performance for Oranje, but he might need to look elsewhere come the January Transfer period if he is to secure a position in the Oranje World Cup party.

Malen… 3 goals in last 3 matches, including in today’s match v. Wolfsburg. Good news after a rather uninspiring performance in Oranje shirt earlier this month. We shall see if he can stay hot. Haaland was back from his injury lay-off.

Indeed, Memphis had an excellent game today!! Goal was well taken, sublime composure. Missed a huge chance, and should have scored, in the first half after a delicious through-ball from Frenkie. Also, nice awareness on the first goal pouncing on Jordi Alba shot/cross - and Frenkie cleaned up the rebound!

I thought Danjuma had a decent match too (registered an assist), though it was disappointing that he couldn’t be on the scoresheet. Had two wonderful opportunities in similar angle, and failed to convert both. First one was was too straight to Barca GK, the other went wide.

You have to admit Emery is playing two wingers as strikers and looking at how danjuma operates he will have fit and adjust in the new role with their first choice striker Gerrad Mereno still injured.

The more danjuma drifts to the left and the more chances he creates while his second striker Pino does the same thing drifting out to the right .He is also a naturally winger and doesnt have the attributes of a striker and In between there is no threat inside box This is what is currently upsetting emery tatic without moreno. They play anticipating the ball to reach the two strikers/ wingers in clear from where they can finish off or build up to assist. Something like mane and salah at Liverpool. If danjuma is not drifting he is a pedestrian and not much is going on in terms of attack. He is also not depay esque to be able to hold the ball in the box and take on defenders.

Vs Man United in the CL , the story was the same and while Villarreal kept trying to drive with danjuma and Pino upfront , the defense were tight on both and the super subs for united came on and killed the game off.

  25. Now Gakpo is back from injury, I see him as the threat to Memphis's position.
