Hey guys remember that time there was like a bus to Columbus with Dave Berchem. Got lost in Bedford Park in middle of night? Where was that bus going?
Having that game on tv did the House no favors. It looked like there were about 15 people there. Is this sustainable? To me, if Peter Wilt can’t put butts in the seats it’s not going to happen. I do think the ticket prices turned people off from the get go. What can be done to try to save this idea?
I've talked about this to the other two people I go to games with. There were alot more people there last night than previous games. What they could try to do is make all sections except for the center seats general admission and charge $15 a game. Then once you get a following then start charging other prices. It definitely is a tough hill to climb for Peter but I think in time it will catch on to more people.
I’ll go further and say this is a huge problem for the whole league. There are teams drawing 250 people.
These next games (like yesterday) should be fairly well attended. It all started pretty quick and they’re getting better at selling. Let’s hope they’re all given enough time.
Another thing they could do would be to sign some world "stars." It has worked well with the Fire's signing of Offor! Actually, both Offor and Collier would probably fit in well at Chicago House.
Not shocking, but the Fire have been completely outplayed in the 1st half. Edit: Oops. Sorry for posting this in the wrong thread. Still, the message is correct.
That should have been their goal from the start. It'll be interesting to see the goalposts move among the NGS mouthbreathers. As for the House, UIC recently announced a multimillion dollar renovation to their soccer stadium. Capacity would only be 1k, but may be worth a look for future seasons. If nothing else, the rental fees may be more reasonable than SeatGeek.
I just want to mention my podcast co-host and friend Adnan who appears to be the only person regularly covering the House: https://www.vavel.com/en-us/soccer/...vibes-at-seatgeek-stadium-are-immaculate.html
