even if Osako isn't injured thats also a perfect time to play Furuhashi as CF.

Sudden surge of Kawasaki and Olympic's players , which is not a bad thing actually.

However I still don't get the idea of calling 3 players for each SB position, unless they have 352 as plan B. But it leads to somewhat lacking of CMs. Perhaps they consider Itakura and Nakayama are backups for both DF and CM.

This is... surprising! Some new names here. It seems that for once, the manager finally recognizes the Jleague champions.

I just hope he'll actually play some of them in the starting lineup instead of relying on the old guard (which I strongly believe he will ), otherwise, this call up of new blood would be totally meaningless.

Oh, and f*** that Segunda division Saudi player, shibasaki.

good to see ueda, mitoma, maeda given a chance. Need to change up abit

Wanna see 4-4-2 with Minamino up top as we are struggling to score. Mitoma, Maeda can be impact subs. Also would like to see Ueda tried as holdup striker

But why is sugawara not in. Need variation from sakai and hatate at left back is a liability. Just go with Nakayama as Nagatomo will be out of picture soon

My Japanese friend is worried that Japanese football could lose more kids to baseball because of him. Is he so influential in Japan?

He is by far the best player in MLB (US baseball league). What he did this season has never been done before in MLB that is almost 150 years old.

What did I say about west asia refs. All japanese sponsors should quit afc. This is clearly to help west asian teams

The match fixing is even more funny in the era of VAR

    Embarassing neverending VAR break.

I dunno how VAR works in AFC but for what I know VAR can be used only for on/off side positions without referee watching the video or for yellow/red card decisions.

If referee choose that there was no touch by japanese player than VAR could do nothing about it.

Just win this match at all costs with/out VAR.
Aussies tied today so Japan should close on them more.

JFA needs to step up, no more west asia refs for japan games. Only central, SEA or Australian

I'm surprised no one on the Japanese bench went mad at the referee for such BS; that goal was a game-changer. I swear that referee can't even find sand in the middle of the desert.

Well, I'm not surprised. No excuses for them. They should win 5:0 today and if they can't beat Vietnam what's the point of going to the WC? Nothing will change in 12 months...

Great choices - Asano instead of Mitoma and useless Osako still on the pitch...

The fact that Osako is still playing is beyond braindead stuff. What a donkey.

Moriyasu must hate Kyogo for some obscure reason.

I'm quite sick of Junya Ito's crossing. The lad doesn't bloody look into the centre to see who he's aiming at, his cross accuracy must be 10%.

Also what are we doing with Osako? Has he even touched the ball?
