I hope this doesn't mean anything towards him leaving. This kid is IMO the brightest player we've had this season. http://skysports.planetfootball.com...Ziegler+unhappy+in+London&channel=Premiership Maybe as he's got some time to rest because of his hamstring he can go visit family or have them come to him. I know what it's like moving away from home at that age and it is hard but it gets easier and easier as you get used to it and as you grow up.
He is injured now for about 6 weeks so hopefully he will be allowed home for a couple of days. I'm sure Frank will allow that as he understands what it is like to be away from home at a young age & has experience with younger players while at PSV.
It's an fluffed up report, they stole that quote from part of an interview Ziegler did in Swiss about a fortnight ago and tried to make it look like something new and controversial. http://www.nzz.ch/2005/01/16/sp/page-articleCIRB7.html
with having to know 4 languages i suspect most people swiss isn't that good i hope this doesn't break the rules, but here's a systran translation of the german:
I think Arnesen is actually Yoda... "as Reto no more did not play, forced I the change" I think I understood some of that lol...
Read Zieglers interview in the latest Spurs Monthly. He's lived away from home since he was 14. He's used to it and loves London. People are always trying to stir up ********.
Funnily enough I was going to go and grab that Spurs monthly just because I saw Ziegler's in it. I might have to go and have a look next time I'm in WHSmiths.
http://www.spurs.co.uk/article.asp?hlid=251609 Good news. I want to take that lad out for a pint. Who else is coming?
http://www.spurs.co.uk/article.asp?hlid=251609 He talks about the injury in this link but towards the bottom he say: "The club has looked after me well and I was surprised to see some inaccurate reporting that I'm homesick and not liking London. "In actual fact, I said the good thing about living in Chigwell and being close to Spurs Lodge is that I can concentrate on my football. "I've also got my mother here with me at the moment, which is a huge support. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time at Tottenham and the club has made me feel very welcome."
That is good to read, I was starting to think things might be falling apart for Spurs like they always do near the end of the year. Lets just hope he can get back on the pitch in a couple of weeks and keep up his good play.
