Dest ends a counter, knocking it out of bounds.

 

Yellow card shown, not clear if it was for Dest or De Jong for a professional foul. Not sure what Dest did merited one.

 

Broadcasters being told the card was on Frankie, not Dest.

 

Full time, decent win. Really should have gotten themselves a two goal margin at some point. Dest with a couple of chances he will rue and a couple of dribbles he failed to pull off, but probably one of the better starters in this one.

 

Did Dest ended up as a winger or defender?

Somewhat unimportant league game taking place in Spain today. Dest starting, and from the personnel, looks like he's on the right of a 4-3-3 attack again.

Hope Dest can get another shot... that was sucky bad miss and I'm sure it's eating at him.

 

just in this game. He was usually an outside back for most of his career. He is pretty offensive.

 

I see Mingueza is out, Coutinho in, Dest 'demoted' to defense.

Stays and plays! That's the important thing.

 

Looks like he hesitated in approaching the ball (maybe because he didn't anticipate Fati's touch?), and then had to rush the shot with the keeper advancing. Not a good play - but from a US fan perspective, I'm happy to see Dest getting into dangerous places against high level opponents, even if he doesn't finish those chances.

 

Nice clearance there by Dest, saved a goal most likely.

In a game of this quality a miss like Dest's is magnified. He's received a lot of criticism from commentators. In a lesser league like MLS a miss is like that is no biggy.
