These idiots are not football people. They are money men. Their aim is to make as much money as possible for FIFA and as we know in the past most of what went on was extremely shady.

They cannot leave meddling alone because they hope that something they do will somehow preserve their memory to posterity or will get talked about globally. Ego mad psychopathic tendencies.

As for the Newcastle takeover yet another state takes over a club and will outspend everyone else to titles. All it benefits are the players and agents who will wallow in another overinflated market.

The hypocrisy of the Toon fans wearing Saudi flags and head dresses and celebrating was appalling. This is another regime filled with nastiness and an extremely dubious record. Football has sold it's soul a long time ago to the devil. It's a money making machine not a sport for many.

David Squires like many regrets what it has become and penned yet another satirical cartoon lampooning the whole takeover. The PL dropped any objections without any consideration of the morality as soon as the Saudis stopped television piracy of the PL product. That's what it is now. Product not sport.

I cancelled my Sky and BT Sport subscriptions. If Watford are away I will watch a river.

As for investment in South America. It's little to do with benefitting clubs there. It will be another mechanism to get youngsters over to say Newcastle for a pittance.

United will probably go after Zidane. United just stink. Cristiano should’ve just gone to City if he wanted to win anything.

But interesting there are four major European games tonight.
    United-Liverpool
    Barca-Madrid
    PSG-Marseille
    Inter-Juve.

To be honest, I didn’t know about most of them. But I’ll tune in for Inter-Juve. I believe Paulo is back on the bench.

LOL at Sassuoulo beating Juve.... that team is a mess. They're looking like Inter when they collapsed after years of Serie A supremacy.

On a side note, Bayern just lost 5-0 to Borussia M’gladbach  I thought maybe they played subs, but Lewandowski, Neuer, Kimmich, Sane, Muller, and the whole gang were there... insane!

What happened to Gremio? Losing every week and in the relegation zone with 10 games left in the season. To think they were one of the best teams in all of South America recently with their runs in the Libertadores from 2017 to 2019

I know the Brasileirao is quite competitive, but they have a pretty damn decent squad.... Borja, Douglas Costa, Kannemann, Geromel, Campaz, Rafinha... I mean I wouldn't necessarily expect them to be fighting for the title, but their abysmal season is appalling. They should at the very least be mid-table with those kind of players.

Their fans let them know just how they felt today, after their loss to Palmeiras:

Speaking of relegation.... Aston Villa are in shambles and on a steep decine. They're just three points above the relegation zone, getting spanked 4-1 by West Ham today to mark 4 consecutive losses.

Maybe Dibu and Buendia should begin looking for a move before the ship finally sinks.

Good thing Conmebol is having a dip.
Outside out ourselves and the brazucas, most of the teams are on the way down. Chile needs to be thanking their lucky stars, they’re actually in the automatic qualifying spot right now. Paraguay has free fallen.

Paraguay's form is pathetic... 1 win in the last 11 games. The only team they have beaten throughout this entire qualification process is Venezuela.

Even then they still could have been in a position to qualify to the WC, but these two losses in a one month span vs. direct-rival Chile (0-2 in Santiago in October, 0-1 today in Asuncion) have taken a heavy toll on them. Those were practically 6 point games.

Uruguay and Peru are the other two teams that have to be thankful that everybody else sucks.. I mean Peru only has 11 points after 12 matches and they could very realistically make it to Qatar if they string a few wins (and their next two games are Bolivia and Venezuela, soooo)

    Peru beating Bolivia

I like when eliminatorias get complicated for everyone, so im loving all this, IF Peru and Chile both win their 2 games and Uruguay wins none...its gonna be complicated. Also Colombia if they lose they are gonna complicate themselves too.
Wishing for Peru and Chile rise just for fun. Hopefully Chile and Uruguay have to fight to death when they play eachother in the last date! Popcorn time

    Peru 2-0, GOLAZO by Cuevas

I dont get Peru, many times they seem like a good team, good strikers, they play with flair, could complicate anyone. At other times they seem like the worst team in CONMEBOL. Anyways, hope they get their shit together cause i love to watch them play.

How Neymar didn’t get red carded today is a mystery. Chest bumped the ref early on, kicked out at Cuadrado which the ref missed, and then did get a yellow for another kick. Argued with the ref all game long.

Casemiro will be suspended against us.

errrmm, that's the difference between playing Bolivia and playing a serious team.

Bolivia's latest results outside of La Paz:

    Ecuador 3 - 0 Bolivia (October)
    Argentina 3 - 0 Bolivia (September)
    Uruguay 4 - 2 Bolivia (September)
    Argentina 4 - 1 Bolivia (June)

Even Venezuela beat them 4-1 earlier in qualifiers, while Brazil destroyed them 5-0... pretty much if you're playing Bolivia at home and don't give them a generous goleada, you lost!

If you don't score a lot of goals vs Bolivia when you're playing at home, then you have a serious problem :p

I also liked Peru when they obliterated Chile 2-0. They play interesting football and have the ability to score, unlike paraguay or even coughlombia

Yes, not surprising- but today was ridiculous by even Neymar standards. It was like he was asking to be red carded.

It could have been this - seeing as they have already qualified.

Neymar seems to have one foot out of the door. He’s already hinted at 2022 maybe being his last World Cup. The guy will be nearly 31 when the 2022 is over. I do not think he will be back for 2026 when he will be 34. Plus, he enjoys the nightlife a bit too much.

I always chuckle when I see the US play and see all these new faces on the squad. Of course, it is some player who was either born in the US and left as a an infant, or had a father that was in the military and the kid grew up in Europe. After all these years, the US still cannot produce any talent on their own. Unlimited resources and still, they need to go chasing after some kid who has very little connection to the country.

Seems like the Mexicans are tired of Tata. They’re at the halfway point of qualifiers, do they fire him?

Personally, I think Tata did some serious damage as our manager. He set us back a few years, IMO.
