When was the last time Bolivia won an away game? That’s going to be their biggest hurdle. They need to get points away from La Paz…

Lucky for them, the rest of the teams are terrible right now. If Uruguay want to survive, I think it is time for them to replace Tabarez. A lot of Uruguayans are asking for it. It might be time.

This Brasil is looking good against Uruguay (then again, so did we). I wish we play them in El Monumental.

    Uruguay is ridiculously bad.

Ecuador scored 4 against them earlier in this qualifier. Uruguay these days are simply bad.

I dont know how they got to be 3rd (now 5th) with this awful team. Peru are better than them (and, tbh, so are Paraguay and Chile)

They still started with Godin who's playing level is below a retired Mascherano. That plus aging forwards and Muslera who's only average even at his best, now he's older aswell.

All their younger talents hasnt show any good premise. How's they still stuck with Tabarez after 15 years? last time they passed QF in tournament was a decade ago.

I noticed Chile is slowly climbing with 13 points, although 3 teams behind has 11-12 points, and they still have to play Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador , Uruguay and Paraguay.

4th place - 9th place are only seperated by 5 points while there's still 6 games to play . There should be an entertaining bloodbath from teams behind us :D

Chile will face Uruguay in last day and there's possibility both teams would need to win that game to finish 4th or 5th.

Uruguay has great talents... De La Cruz and Nandez are tremendous players... Viña, De Arrascaeta, and Neves can be important if they're on form.

Some younger players like Agustin Alvarez, Darwin Nunez, Ignacio Ramirez, and Brian Ocampo are showing great promise and could be important in the future depending on how they continue to grow.

Obviously Luis Suarez and Cavani are old, but they're still terrific players who pretty much any NT would love to have.

The problem with Uruguay is that they're dated in some aspects and cling to the past glory days... players like Godin and Martin Caceres should have been out of the picture for a while now, while Tabarez should have been sacked after their last three very uninspired Copa Americas, yet no one has the balls to do it because of what he accomplished a decade ago.

They clearly are not on the level of Argentina or Brazil, but there is no reason they should be struggling the way they are.. They have an abundance of talent and Tabarez's stubbornness is getting in the way.

If they don't make it to Qatar it'll be a tremendous chokejob, although looking at their schedule it could happen... their two November games have the potential to leave them pointless that round (they receive Argentina and then visit Bolivia in La Paz), while after that only 4 games will remain...... including what could be a decisive last-day match vs. Chile.

Not to excuse that terrible result, but that 4-2 loss was in Quito, which we all know is a difficult venue to visit. The most recent game between the two sides took place a month ago and Uruguay won 1-0.

Why do you think Tabarez is immune from being fired? Uruguay rises from 2006-2011 but since then, its been a decade of early exit in both Copa & WC

Other powerhouse sides would have change manager after 3 tournaments failure at max.

You know, loco, I normally do not feel bad other teams in our federations who are struggling (Because I know they sure as hell were laughing when we had our dip) but I feel bad for the Uruguayans. I mean, don’t get me wrong, playing them at a World Cup would be a pain because they raise their game but them missing out would be a shame. They are one of our great rivals, but I do not have that same vitriol as I do with the brazucas.

You know, if you look at Oscar Washington Tabarez’ yearbook when he was in high school, you’ll see George next to him…

It’s a social thing for them. They are a tiny ass country and football is just as big for them as it is for us but they’ve got like 3’million people… So, they’ve got to fight for everything and you can see that on the pitch(or they did). So, firing Tabarez will mean it is end of an era, and in many ways it is because then Suarez and Cavani are next to go. But as I said, the fans want his ass gone. They are fed up and I don’t blame them.

Well, that's weird that they prefer to be managed by outdated guy because they feel certain affection rather than trying to improve the team.

2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, that's alot of failure... unless they considered victory over England at group stage or beating Portugal as a silverware.

I wonder if we will thrash them at home next month... Colombia will play Brazil so they almost certainly will drop points and Ecuador will play Chile who's fighting for 5th place. Even a draw possibly will extend our lead.

Is he trying to do some WCW v WWF thing? When Brasil is playing Scotland in a another World Cup, do our players(Who play in a different World Cup) show up and stand by the touch line staring them down?

Didn’t he also say that a single location World Cup is a thing of the past? It was mentioned having one location in Saudi Arabia and the other in Italy… Dafaq…

    Leave things alone, man!
