Referee is a scouser...A pretty clear penalty over-ruled for Atletico and Griezmann in my view was harshly sent off.
Well Sheriff is our toughest competition for the group at the moment, so I'm glad that the Italian minnows were able to take some points off them.
Anyone see Andy Robertson getting barged back to Liverpool? 😂pic.twitter.com/ASDxd7Yi2c— The Sportsman (@TheSportsman) October 19, 2021
I watched the highlights on the post game show but it doesn’t tell the whole story. BVB were dominated and Mr. Haaland started.
Yep yep We seem to only mention them when they pulverize some vulnerable side. They are the fun team people love to support... then ignore when they face a team which has no fear of them and goes for their souls lol.
Did not see the PK incident you are referring to, but personally I think the Grizman Red was SOLID RED! if that is not a red, then what is?
Marco Rose ain't it. Not a fan of the move when it happened, and certainly not a fan right now. His comments after the match: "When you're down 0:2, you're never going to be happy. But Kimmich doesn't throw the towel, he gets really upset. That's the difference, in Munich the place is on fire. The question is, how do you react, how do you take it when you're down?" "We have a couple of young players... After the second goal it was a matter of conviction, we as a team have to work on that" Kind of tough to draw parallels to Bayern, but he did praise Reus for his leadership, so he is pretty much shifting to the young players, but to me several bad performances were on experienced guys, Can, Hummels, etc.
Pepe or Ramos does that and they're suspended for 3 matches, the discussion is instantly generated whether they are decent human beings or not. There should be a bigger discussion around that one.
Dortmund got absolutely dominated. could have ended in like 10-3, Haaland missed some good chances. Ajax were just on another level yesterday. Only conceded 3 goals whole season (all games incl).
After losing Frenkie de Jong, Mathijs De Ligt, Hakim Ziyech, Sergiño Dest, and Donny Van de Beek, it seems Erik Ten Hag has Ajax competitive again in the Champions League. Of course, they have retooled their squad with the likes of Haller, Berghuis, and Gravenberch, but impressive nonetheless. Ten Hag should be one of the hottest names in the managerial market this summer. With all of the potential openings (United, Barcelona, Dortmund, PSG, Real Madrid), it would be a surprise if he stays at Ajax beyond this season.
Dortmund should have tried for Ten Hag instead of Rose. Not sure he would have been interested in that lateral move
Dortmund are only in surface level modern and creative, they're basically calling the top agents and getting top talents at anti club/pro agent-player terms. Underneath that, it's just mediocre transfers plucked from other Bundesliga clubs. Hire the Mainz coach, hire the Mainz coach v2, etc. Just see what works elsewhere and take it, along with the young shopping window players. Really basic by the numbers stuff, a lot of fans are not too pleased with the direction.
He just signed a 2-year contract with Ajax. I guess that could be worked around, but I imagine another club would need to compensate Ajax nicely to get Ten Hag out of there a year early.

Dortmund signed Bosz after he impressed at Ajax and he was a colossal bust for them. I think they'll be careful with that. Even as a neutral the Bosz experience left me scarred, I see Ajax coach and run as far away as I can. Ten Haag has the experience of working under van Gaal I guess, but still, I'm careful.
