Goal Venezia! Busio hockey assist - chipped over the defense to Henry, unselfish rolled pass to Aramu to shoot on an open net.

What a ball. Right onto the foot of Henry.

By and large, that was Busio's goal. Very nice work.

This is why I want to see more of busio with musah/mckennie and Adam’s. He brings something so different. He almost created two goals back to back.

Very nice, what Musah does on the dribble, Busio does with passing

When I was watching Busio in an MLS game earlier this year, I noticed that it was kind of like watching one of those big-name European midfielders who would come over to MLS at the end of their career (e.g. Djorkaeff in NY). Even when other players may have seemed slightly ahead of him physically, he made his mark on the game - and clearly stood out from every other player on the field - by being a step ahead mentally, and reliably precise with his passes.

The difference is that Busio is 5-6 years from his athletic peak, rather than 8-10 years past it. The sky's the limit.

He was one step from connecting that one.

    ----

Busio long passing still needs some work. But he has the right ideas.

    ----

Ceccaroni almost gifts I Viola the tie. Stupid dangerous play a CB should never do.

He moved from the right to the left side of the midfield three this half?

Sottil gets a second yellow in 10 minutes and Fiorentina with 10.

Yes, the coach wanted the fresh guy who came in for Vacca to cover the fresh guy who came in for Amrabat.

That should be a red for the Fiorentina keeper.

Clear DOGSO... if not a red, they're just taking pity on them because they're already with 10.

    BTW, good game by Venezia.

Red not given due to previous offside. I'd have to see a replay.

PS: Doesn't look like offside even in replay. I guess the ref felt two reds in a row for Fiore was too much.

My cousin barely saves a header by Nico Gonzalez.

    ----

Okereke had Busio free on the right but couldn't find the space for a pass. Bummer.

    ----

Chiquito saving Venezia in the last minutes.

    ----

3 vs. 1 break ruined by Okereke....

That was very selfish of Henry. He took away our boy’s assist.

We don't want to get carried away but it does seem that Busio has been making nice strides since moving to Venezia. If this progression continues he'll have to be penciled in for the 23 in Qatar, assuming we qualify.

It's a nice thought, and I agree, but please remember that here we don't talk about what everyone wants to talk about.

That pass was amazing. Right on the money, over the defender at an angle, perfectly dropped to his teammate. It deserved better.

I’m still in awe of their kits. They’re like Beamon at the 1968 Olympics, or Babe Ruth’s 1920 season.
