Where's the thunderclap of FC Dallas fans' excitement about Ricardo Pepi's great match in Honduras?

    You go, Ricardo!!!

    {Did you know he's only 18? ;-)}

guess I'll go over to 3rddegree.net

Since I wandered back into BigSoccer a couple months ago, I've been wondering where the FCD fans went.

Discord on the 3rd Degree page. I tried holding this place up for the last 5 years but I'm tired of talking to myself.

FCD fans have scattered to the four winds online. Some are on the FCD fans page on Facebook, some are on Twitter, some are on the 3rd Degree Discord.

Gotta be honest, I'm hardly coming here anymore. This place is becoming the same shell that some of the other team forums have become and have always been.

Ironically, I don't contribute much on the Discord. I mostly lurk. The opposite of this forum. I like these "old school" forums better than the Twitters and Discords of the world but they're a dying breed unfortunately. The only reason I'm on here as much as I am is the good group of dudes we have on Liverpool board; but that doesn't help anyone here.

I wandered back in here after four years for pretty much the same reason. Tried poking around in reddit and it just doesn't make sense to me. The USMNT boards are active enough with most of the same folks, and I'm enjoying hanging around in there.

Yeah I've also pretty much given up here. The FCD thread on the US youth forums is the place in BigSoccer and oddly there's tons of people into FCD from around the country. Just not many in DFW.

So to give a shot to discussion here who do people favor as a coach?

Well, knowing the Hunts won't give him any money and will sell his best talent, someone who can basically turn water into wine.

    That wasn't the question!

Part of me would like Leonel Alvarez to get the job. Players would run through walls for Oscar because of how much they liked him. For Leonel it would because of how scared they are of him. Problem is he's had high turnover everywhere. I was thinking Luccin would make the best coach but he's never been a head coach. So does that give Quill and Ferruzzi (interim a few times) an advantage on the FCD assistant types? I do wonder if there's a guy at another MLS club who's more ready? The new Atlanta coach was an assistant at Seattle and has turned them around. I get the HG/Academy philosophical thing but few other teams do that too now so at least look at those assistants and see if they're more ready. I will say I'm old enough to remember that Ferruzzi had the team looking good before Hyndman took over and they looked worse after that.

I know almost nothing other than remembering Ferruzzi from his days ages ago in Austin. So when I say I think it's his turn, you'll need to take that with a salt dome.

I remember Marco did pretty well after they fired Morrow and were negotiating with Hyndman. Of course, that was a fairly decent team and there was no particular reason to fire Morrow at that point anyway.

    God I'm getting old.

Circling back around, I check in from time to time to rep something and make sure bots haven't taken over. I generally keep up on Reddit, but the FCD contingent is not too large there. Using the "old" style with the "RES" browser plugin does make it feel more like a forum, and less like a retina-searing explosion of social-media-ness.

BREAKING NEWS: It appears that the transfer saga for Ricardo Pepi has come to an end as FC Dallas has reportedly agreed to a record transfer deal with VfL Wolfsburg.

Actually there doesn't actually seem to be any real news on this mostly rehash again. I think Pepi really needs to question his agents tactic of leaking everything. I can't help but think teams don't like that at all and might not want to deal with a player because of that type of agent.
