    Would be interesting to know the age groups of the participants. People mocked Florentino when he said young people aren’t watching as much football as in the previous generation but that wasn’t some baseless claim, nor was it some breaking news. There’s been multiple studies done on this in the US and Europe. Leagues in the US got so scared that they have been modifying their product for years now. Some better than others obviously.

    The pandemic really jolted awake some people who were just lost in the rat race and crystallized the relative importance and meaning of certain things over others.

    I believe YS was high on this guy when he was at Anderlecht. I kept up with him until Monaco but then lost interest. it seemed like he would be just another promising youngster who didn’t take the next step. I guess all he needed was time. Midfielders man. You have to be patient with them. Glad he’s full filling his potential.

    I was slow to get on the OMG hot sauce Benz is the best evr train in part because historically he's had good and poor runs of form but he's been hot long enough now that it's legit, Benz isn't just in a good run of form, he has become a great player.

    In other news, Mauro Icardi’s agent (and wife) Wanda Nara posted that they are separating and unfollowed him. It’s a shame because I will miss her drama. Then again, I have a feeling she will be back… :laugh:
