I'm sure there are lawyers all over the US taking note of that stat, prepping their self-defence arguments -- "but your honor, my client's opponents has more than the average number of arms!!"
Are you sure they are box elder and not stink bugs? That’s typical stink bug behavior for this time of the year.
I've been patiently waiting for this discussion since I joined Big Soccer in 2005 and I am eagerly awaiting the thread tangent where we discuss the relative differences between brown marmorated stink bugs and western conifer seed bugs.
We're gonna need you to squish a couple of them and get back to us on whether they smell or not. We demand empirical data!!
Out of interest what is the problem with them? Won't they just die off? We have a country cottage and insects are always an issue - like mice they can do a bunch of damage, especially eating my new insulation! In general we just leave wasp (yellow jacket) nests as in the winter in germany they die off. Flies are most annoying which i vacuum up. I've had a number of ladybird outbreaks inside!
Like many places, we've had a field mice explosion in recent years which is bad for the attic areas, but also the german's garden! Luckily a cat moved in on a casual basis (he technically lives down the road). He eats about 4-5 per day. It doesn't make a dent really but i did notice he has killed off all the ones around the house
We have a large tree of heaven in the lot behind our house that is loaded with lanternflies. This year I put one of those circle traps on the trunk and probably caught a few thousand. Three years ago there weren't any lantern flies in the area. Now they are everywhere.
So, the ol’ “patience, grasshopper” wouldn’t work in your household? Not that it works very well in ours.
A tweet, but not about the Biden presidency (*), so it goes in the distraction thread. (*) or is it? So, uh, choices were made, trademarks were applied for… pic.twitter.com/zhLLuHdogc— Dr. NerdLove (@DrNerdLove) October 13, 2021
In general, both "hand job" and "pop-up" are terms to be avoided. They should never, ever be used in the same advertisement.
This is 'Merica where we blast our beached sea mammals with dy-no-mite! The Incredible Exploding Whale. A 45-foot, 16,000-pound whale washes up on the beach. What do you do with it? Let's see what happened in Florence, Oregon back in 1970. Wow. pic.twitter.com/A71hbC52wo— Don Lewis (@DonLew87) October 17, 2021
