I know Son is more effective and prefers to play on the left, but how many iconic goals starting from Hamburg to Leverkusen and now Spurs has he scored with that cut in from the right? I swear I had a feeling right when he started moving inside before the shot that he was gonna bag a goal

Even more shocked how good the defense looked at holding a lead today...hopefully a sign of things to come

Signature goal from Son to start it off new

    let's go

if the shit talkers can't talk now about their honest observations after a crazy game like that than you shouldn't be able to talk when he's down

said it before team chemistry trumps singular talents

Obviously a great goal from Sonny, but I thought he was poor in the first half. He killed a couple of good counters with some questionable decision-making.

He’ll definitely need to step it up and be more consistent if Kane leaves as he’s the only match winner on spurs side.

It was the first game so hopefully he'll come up to speed.

Looks like he picked up a small knock today, but a win is a win. Quiet game from Spurs + SHM but considering all the points lost after a lead last season, let's hope this is a sign of better things

Was said he was uncomfortable even during warm-up and didn't look great coming off at the end either

Anyone know how much he's getting paid after signing that extension? Cuz sportrac and a few other sources have him earning the same 140k per wk that he's been earning for the past several seasons and that's for the entire length of the extension till 2025. If that's actually true then that's not exactly a good look for SHM and at the very least he should fire his agent asap. But sportrac is pretty credible and several others are reporting the same, so not sure what to make of it. I've seen a few speculative reports estimating his new wages at around 190k-200k per wk but for the most part, they were all based on rumors and were reported before he actually signed his extension.

Definitely old data. It wouldn't make sense for him to sign an extension when there was time left on his prior contract to earn the same amount.

He's most likely the highest paid in the team, alongside Kane and Ndombele at 200k pound per week.

Son will have many regrets when he retires, but the greatest regret he will have is playing for this shit team.

Son unlucky not to come away with an assist after a perfect cross to Kane who misses the 1v1 with the keeper. Got subbed on and looked just ok--didn't have much time to work with, team also was really giving Wolves the opportunity to take the game. Looks a bit more fit in limited minutes, hopefully getting over his injury--really curious about what happens the next int'l break after the debacle with the Argentinian players

This summer transfer has been a disaster.

Son should have gotten out while he was ahead.

Levy has a sick mind. Everything he touches turns into shit.

SHM with a MOTM performance, two assists (although one seems to be changed to a Aston Villa OG) and looked very sharp. Some of his best dribbling I've seen in ages

Son scores at the end of the 1st half after a delay (fan had a heart attack, is stabilized and in hospital now) to make it 3-1 assist from Kane. Team looks lively in offense, the best they've looked this season. Son not getting too much work but every corner he's whipped in has been extremely good.
