For all too brief a time our heroes had renewed hope. In our last episode, that hope was swiftly and mercilessly put out by a union of souls from a metropolis to the east. Now only the pain of defeat follows our lovable heroes. The citizens have cried their tears, and look to the future for a renewed hope. But the rest of this year must be completed even if they will not qualify for the end of season championship tournament. This downtrodden Crew must fight on now, against a force from the far south, known for their questionable ways. This group, unlike our yellow clad protagonists, is still attempting to qualify for the tournament. They will attack in full force. Will our heroes resolve be broken again, or can they summon courage and claim victory?
This is a sure win. Bet the ranch. Neville let the cat out of the bag; the league is corruptly conspiring with the officials to throw Miami's games. I figure either he's telling the truth, in which case we're golden, or he's lying, which will piss off the ref who has just been accused of being on the take. Either way, we're good
I smell a tie. Forward progress but still a nail in the post season coffin; or a long thumb tack or piece of duct tape. Or at the "I think I'll go for a walk" point from the "Bring out your dead" scene from Python's Holy Grail.
Miami doesn't even remotely impress me. I think we win this one and delay the inevitable for another matchday.
Wonder if anyone has told Emily Maish that her hometown professional soccer club faces off this weekend against an opponent that Coach Caleb Porter has called, "One of the best teams in the league."
I'm not sure how much it even matters. He went 90 on Saturday and 90 again on Tuesday and then had to fly back here from frikkin Zimbabwe. Aside from quarantine, which is a whole separate subject, he's not Superman. It's the perennial complaint from clubs: we send you our best and you send us back exhausted guys who need a rest and are probably nicked up anyway.
Miami cannot really complain about cheating since they played with 4 DPs all last year. F#ck 'em. Crew by 4, even without Mensah and likely Room.
We should not sign anyone who is vaccine hesitant, period. It is costing us games & points and I am sick of it.
I believe the quarantine is 10 days (could be wring there) for unvaccinated. He could miss two games, not just one.
I could be completely wrong about this, but part of me wonders if the league will require it next season. Because of when the vaccine became largely available relative to the start of the season this year, there really wasn't time to make a rule for this season. Then again, I have no idea where the players' union would stand on it, so maybe not.
So if I'm reading everything correctly, there is a Jackets game at Nationwide on Saturday evening as well? What time does that game begin? Are there other events in the area tomorrow?
Yes, 7pm puck drop. Also a 7pm concert at Express Live. So neither should have much impact on the Crew game, other than larger pregame bar crowds.
Thanks. Sounds like my group has picked the right weekend to convince me to try Hofbrau Haus as a pregame/parking venue.
If that is indeed the case, then it makes no difference (unless he is exposed to a known case or gets it himself, of course). Bill is right, as he is likely out anyway after olaying 90 twice for Ghana.
