I hope Scaloni does not become fixed on certain changes. Always Guido for Paredes, Tucu for Lautaro, Nico for di Maria. He can vary things according to the game.

This was a chance for Licha, Foyth and Alvarez to show what they can do. All three playing at a high level at the moment as well.

Minimal contact and the Brazilian buffoon disallows the goal.

Replay shows no contact. Should have been 2-0

Passing has been very poor tonight aside from the crisp start. Passing behind the receiver or at them rather than them being able to run onto the ball. Tiredness perhaps but not good enough. Messi still not fully fit.

I think just being tired and maybe even the weather. But I thought we did what we had to do. Another game and another clean sheet.

Well it's 3 games in a row now unlike the usual 2 games round. We gave our best performance against Uruguay but definetely they certainly tired out in this game in second half.

As already been mentioned, we passes too much. Like Di Maria crosses early in the game, its seems half assed attempt. You cant tell he.s aiming to shoot or cross.

Now that, more or less, qualification is assured I'm hoping those players and the likes of Dybala and Icardi are given a few games

Terrible game, fouled to death. This referee is always absolute shite, insane that there aren’t more competent refs in Conmebol. Only positive today really is that we won on a bad day, I’ll take it. Thought RdP yet again was our best player.

always always always play Di Maria on the right.

BTW thought our away kit looked really good with that gold crest in the middle

    Very disappointing second half.

Again low energy like many of those Copa America matches when we scored and then just stopped playing.

Di María is useless on the left, he screws up every play.

Molina was also bad in general despite his perfect cross for the goal. Montiel should start.

Lautaro, Romero and De Paul (only first half) were the best.

Isnt that same ref the one who disallowed the go-ahead goal in the first qualifier vs Paraguay? He’s so unbelievably bad.

I mean if that light touch is a foul then football is officially a non-contact sport

The guy fell like he was shot.. They didn’t even bother to check with VAR. What is the point of having it? He called and that was that. He wasn’t going to bother to check because he knew was wrong. What an embarrassment.

Yea subs should have been sooner Team clearly tired and Di maria ineffective, no need to wait. Would have preferred someone with more ball control like Papu. Would have been ideally to experiment more with attacking players but I guess lead was too narrow for Scaloni

I don't understand why our team is always SO tired by the 70 minute mark.

My guess is that we simply have so many low stamina players starting compared to other teams. Paredes, Lo Celso, Messi, Lautaro, Di María...
Only De Paul is high intensity. Nico González kinda too.

Paredes often played at walking pace as if he's Riquelme, except he doesnt dribbles or passes like Roman. He's been like slightly upgraded Biglia in recent games.
