The way I have always heard it is that you can relieve an offside position by leaving the field but you cannot cause offside by leaving the filed. It is very simple if you are attacking you are considered on the field at the position where you left the field.
we arent winning a single aerial battle.. That is concerning considering we were supposed to have that advantage.
That happens seldom enough in conjunction with offside cases that you almost never see it. That was the case in the Euros ('08 or '12 . . . I think it was Netherlands-France or Netherlands-Italy). You still shouldn't be able to just remove yourself from the field of play at any time. Dest!!!
