Does this have anything to do with that weird injury he was suffering from before he got here? Wasn’t that a hip thing or something
Nah. I'm takling about the inference in the opposite direction: if injury happened, it must have been because of bad fitness; and using that invalid starting point for further malignant comments.
The injury he had just before this summer, that kept him out for several months, was lower leg inflammation. Not sure if it was connected to his previous long-term injury that he suffered from as a youngster, but it doesn't sound like it. For this new "muscle injury", there aren't many details at all.
If you are referring to Hazard, when someone does everything they can to stay fit and gets injured, of course I don't blame them (e.g. Bale), I only judge the occasional ones who clearly haven't put in the effort reasonably expected of a professional athlete in their 20s or early 30s getting paid millions to take care of themselves. edit: That's just life -- you try your best and fail you are not judged the same as someone who does not try their best and fails, despite them both having the same outcome.
Hope he recovers well. Potentially a huge opportunity for Miguel depending on how Carlo lines up the team.
saw reports on social media that he is nolonger training with the group, looks like he may have had another set back.... FML
It was reported that there were no relapses and this was pre planned. Ancelotti also confirmed that the plan was always to have him back after the international break.
Me too another player i really like, but the length of time out with this injury genuinely concerns me about his long term prospects on this team, we'll see.
🚨| Ferland Mendy will play against Shakhtar. He's totally recovered. @marca pic.twitter.com/mwwCBaFcD8— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) October 13, 2021
Fantastic news. Game time and exposure needs to be built up incrementally for him, the risk of muscular injuries after his condition is high.
I don't like us throwing Mendy back into playing. The guy showed a lot of signs and symptoms of being injury prune in the last year. We should take it slow.
Since Ferland Mendy joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, they have only lost one game in LaLiga with him in the starting XI. It was last January 21 against Levante (1-2) . The rest are 34 wins and 10 draws. @marca #rmlive 🛡 🌟— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) October 25, 2021 This guy doesn't get enough respect.
100% agree, he simply doesn't get enough respect. You can't deny those statistics, and the data is from a large enough sample size of games. Furthermore, there is no bias in the games he's played, arguably he's played in the tougher fixtures overall.
Merci Edouard Mendy! Nous sommes en 2021 😔😔😔! STOP 💪🏿🛑✋🏿Ça prendra du temps mais vous allez finir par nous respecter! Que vous le vouliez ou non 😡😡😡! pic.twitter.com/sg52f2MbyB— Ferland Mendy (@ferland_mendy) November 17, 2021 Ferland and Edouard Mendy call out articles that have used their pictures on stories regarding Benjamin Mendy. How does this still happen in 2021? Not surprising sadly.
Ferland himself might be in trouble, there are claims surfacing that he beat the crap out of a girl in a hotel room once. Apparently this guy who’s making the story known is reputable for busting abuses in the football industry. Hopefully this was just some attempt at extorting him for money and he didn’t really do anything wrong, becuase apparently it happened In 2018 so why wait until now to even hint at this?
