His career with Honduras hangs on the balance against Jamaica.

Lol it shouldn’t whatsoever, Outside of ourselves Jamaica is the worst team out of the 8. A win vs Jamaica will should not give us confidence

It's not even about confidence.. it's simply about salvaging what's left of this window to even have a half decent chance at qualifying from our remaining schedule.

Perhaps he finds a coming to God moment against Jamaica

Journalists in Honduras are already penciling in Pedro Troglio as the next man up after Wednesday.

It seems like your fenafuth smarty guys are waiting until you have zero chances of qualifying to start reacting and fire Coito…

if you tell me that this is how Coito process would end before Gold Cup… unreal. The important thing is that if you react and bounce back with a 6-0 or so win over Jamaica, you will be back to the rumble.

6-0! I admire your optimism haha.It will be a 1-0/2-0 victory at the very best.
Definitely agree with this. We don't have an out and out number 9, let alone one of quality (apart from Rochez who was completely ignored). That's severely hampered us.

And despite, on paper, a lot of our guys are playing their prime years in the MLS, Costa Rica or domestically.

Look at Panama, they have at least 3 or 4 in Spanish Segunda, 1 in Germany, 1 in Belgium, 1 in Slovakia. That's the difference.

So in that respect I don't blame Coito, we simply don't have enough players playing in Europe.

Neither does El Salvador and there they are in the thick of things...

They beat Panama at home and tied the US at home.

A good coach doesn't make an excuse of the resources they lack. They adapt to what we have and look to pull the best they can out of them.

Coito has been absolutely disastrous in El Salvador, 2nd half of the US game, against Costa Rica, against Mexico... That's not just a one time ordeal.. we're looking at a trend now. He needs to go.

It should be Troglio no question.

This is the correct choice, his job shouldn’t hang on the fate of a match against the weakest team in Concacaf.

I already see us as eliminated no matter what happens, unless by some chance we win all of our remaining games left.

My only potential problem with Troglio is that he will favor Olimpia players in the NT.

The only thing that would help us this match date is that CR/USA and Panama/Canada both end up in a draw.

Not winning the CR game at home was the biggest screw up.

That was the biggest screw up? Lol..

I'm over it. Let's get a result against Jamaica and see what we gotta do against Panama and CR. With or without Troglio

The biggest setback I must correct, without that win we the maximum points we can get right now is 6 instead of 8 which would have put us at least one game away from entering the 4-2 spots.

Even if we win against Jamaica we are still going to be 2 games behind not to mention the goal differential.

Why is edit: *almost* everyone here acting like a crazy Honduran? Chill out y’all I expect better from you. We don’t have amazing players this round, we do have some decent ones though and we can still pull this through and possibly qualify, especially if Coito is on board with this best 11:

Best 11@ home (everyone healthy and Coito not messing up the lineup)

    —— GK: Buba (duh)——

    ——RCB: Pereira, LCB: Maldo —-

    Rb: Najar ——— LB: DRodriguez

    —————- DM: Arriaga —————

RM: Elis - CM: Lopez -LM: Quioto

    ————— ACM: Lozano ———

    ———-CF: Rochez———-

Moya is first of the bench here, or you start him ahead of Rochez, take your pick. For away games you go double-DM with addition of Flores, and Moya starts instead of Rochez because of his faster counter speed.

…and yes, Maynor is no longer in the lineup, reread the thread title, written by me 3 years ago for a reason

…oh and don’t @ me, ok good night lol

Won't be shocked if we lose tonight.

Luckily for us Jamaica come in worse shape.

If we can’t beat JAM > PAN > CR and then CAN in that order, it would mean that those teams are in better form now and we shouldn’t be allowed to go to the WC.

We have to go on a four game win streak starting tonight, if not, pfftt, no WC. I’m holding on to hope, cuz, it’s sports! Let’s not forget that? <shrug>

Win or lose tonight, I think the sentiments are the same throughout the country, that Coito is coaching his last game in Honduras.

    A ver como nos va.
