If you turned off the ORL-NJY match when NJY went up 3-0, or even if you stuck it out to the 80th minute before turning off, you missed a WILD last 15'!!! NJY does in fact hang on for the win but oh my God that was insane....

How insane? Harris nearly scores the equalizer during pinball from the final free kick of the night.

Sorry, just had to start a thread to say that. ORL massively unlucky, I think they hit the woodwork at least 4 times that match, including twice in the exact same spot in the exact same play.

And switching over when I did just let me see Rodman-to-Hatch put DC up 3-0 over LOU, whose 'keeper was just left alone against those two. Good timing for me! Feeling bad for LOU though...

Was unable to watch KC-POR or the first half of either night game, which is a shame because all three games seem to have been worth watching - KC staving off the Thorn's scoring machine, and seven goals so far in the first halves of the night games, including HOU beating NC by two!

    =edit=
Up to eight goals on the night as Lavelle is left open on the edge of the box to double RGN's lead

    =edit2=
And then Daly makes it 4 for HOU! Definitely looking like a two-horse race for the Shield, and by extension the first-round byes sound like they're closing off for the chasing pack.

What a match last night for Sofia Huerta. Three assists and many lovely crosses into the box. The leaders in assists this year are all outside backs. A trend?

That Daly/Groom/Mewis team for Houston is formidable.

I sometimes hold in my criticisms of goalkeeping on long range shots because I don't want to appear to be taking attention away from the goalscorers, but I've now seen two strikes where I feel the goalkeepers didn't cover themselves in glory that have gotten a lot of praise this week. One was not in the NWSL (Toone vs Durham), and the other was Hatch's goal today.
