So this discussion reminds me of a song by my favorite Polish band Kult called "waiting for the kingdom of God", here is a rough translation of my favorite part: First, the best king is no king Second, the best government is no government Third, the best master is no master The worst time is the last time And I'm telling you that those who have power create messes and roll in it. And I'm telling you that whoever has power, Should always, always disgust you.
Yes, and, on the radical political spectrum, they are not very far left. Norway is fascinating. Yes, they are as "liberal" (left) as any nation on earth, but it is odd that they still have a "king," still have compulsory military service (for men and women), mandatory religious education (in public schools), and civil cases have to go to "conciliation" before going to court. Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland usually top the list of most "liberal" and most tolerant, but I don't think they are necessarily that far left. They do provide the best quality of life for their citizens, and, generally, non-citizens. I don't see that as being "left" or "right" but just good sound policy. Of course, I guess I would being a "leftie" or something. It is too bad that we are a point in history where just about all things (even "facts," the friggin' Pandemic and the vaccine) are seen through the "left" v. "right" lens.

Cannabis is completely illegal in Wisconsin, there is not even medical marijuana. Gov. Evers puts legalization in his plan every year (and brings it up more often than not). The Republicans refuse to even consider it. I think it is the beer lobby that is behind the blocking of legalization.
“Existing statutes give the President and his Treasury De- partment broad authority to implement important elements of the administration’s tax agenda without further congressional action. And yet only occasionally does the executive branch exercise this statutory “power to tax.” Instead, the President often asks Congress to pass revenue-raising measures achiev- ing what the President and his Treasury Department already could accomplish on their own.” https://scholarship.law.cornell.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=4722&context=clr Mancin should get on board or Biden should tax coal at $10k an ounce.

American woman shows with her own example how her family would pay twice as much for Ami private healthcare vs German public healthcare. Twice as much but only in a best-case/never use Ami private healthcare case. It's a bit long but you should invest the time to learn about this
Yes, we all know this. We have the most expensive, least equitable health "care" system in the western world. No need to "learn" about it. Who the hell is "Ami," anyway?
Oh heaven forbid common decency is on the table. @xtomx for my will all I want is to be frozen and woken up right as society collapses. I want to watch it.
I swear there is a large group of people for whom “Socialism” is basically “anything that doesn’t allow the ruling class complete and total control of laborers every working second”.
Government has been telling corporations how to run their businesses for as long as there have been governments or businesses. Shit, corporations are, but definition, creatures of government. They want freedom? Yank their corporate status and let every one of the motherf'ers to be personally and unlimitedly liable for for the damage they cause.
You have been watching for the past few years. Just wait 'til 2023-2024. The next Presidential run will be excruciating.
Ami ist short for American. I know you guys know this. The newsworthy and worthy to learn about part is the exact figures she states. You’d probably know about this if you had watched the video
Problem for the rest of the world is that America's extremely high drug prices are subsidizing drugs/Healthcare for everyone else. What if, when the US inevitably moves to a single payer system and the government negotiates prices, the US passed a law stating that drugs had to be cheaper here than anywhere else? The US is the largest drug market in the world at about 40% of total global revenue (and that's without a large portion of the population not participating at the moment). Drugs would inevitably become more expensive everywhere else.
No, "Ami" is not short for America. I have lived in the US for over half a century and I have NEVER used or even heard anyone in the US use that term. As for the cost of health care, again, we all know this. Just because this may be "news" to you, it is not news to us. We have been living that nightmare our entire lives. Next, why don't post some "insightful" video on the US military budget being larger than 10 next largest militaries combined? Just go away, please.
