Let a winnable game get away because Coito refuses to play a true Forward.

Slowly getting eliminated. Coito needs to a record a win in this window si o si. Or can him for Troglio or Mira.

Does he think Moya is some type of Messi false 9? Haa

I've already resigned to think we're not qualifying, sooner you accept the less disappointing it is...

Despite of all the promise Coito brought after the Pinto era, his number across all competitions and now qualifying has been really poor.

I like Coito but ultimately the numbers speak and I don't think they pain the best picture for him...

The numbers are there on paper but it requires too many big wins.. 3 point in Mexico as an example.

By the time the federation fires Coito we will already be eliminated, we are now at the point were we have to string together a good number of wins to qualify as 3rd.

Idk man it’s looking grim now.

It's not impossible, but man our guys have to get healthy and man tf up.

Elis looked like shít... That's one of our main players. That's not good. Also not having Quioto when he's in absolutely crazy form is fúcking frustrating.

Luckily we're sort of set-up for the future, but we need to see these fruits NOW. Denil with a heroing performance too last night.

We're stuck w Coito so let's just thug it out whether they qualify or not until his contract is up.

We are not a great team so I am not sure it is mainly Coito’s fault. At least the guy is playing young talent and giving them the experience they need.

His tactics were good to win vs El Salvador, Canada and yesterday vs Costa Rica. The players just have not executed.

We have only had one half where the guy seemed out coached and that was the second half against the USA, otherwise I think he has done ok with the player pool available.

I see what you're saying but is this team that much worse than the 2018 process? Baring in mine we had it within our grasp to qualify.

    This time round, on paper:

    Prime, Elis
    Prime, Quioto
    Prime, Choco
    Prime Alex Lopez

On paper, players coming into the peak of their career or in a good stage: Deybi Flores, Jonathan Rubio, Kevin Arriaga, Denil.

Is that team that much worse than the 2017 team?

Eddie Hernandez was our top scorer... an aged Carlo Costly, Henry Figueroa was the starting CB, Jorge Claros still getting games...

Other than a younger version of Maynor, I can't think of an area we were better...

I agree with you, let’s play football. We also need to remember that these dudes keep getting injured so we have not played one game with the full squad.

Mexico, USA have much more talent than us though. Canada I think has slightly better talent as well so we were always fighting for 4th or at best 3rd place. We can still get there as Canada tends to choke.

I don't want to be this critical of Coito and his team but off the top of my head I can only recall one significant performance, the friendly win over Chile a year or two ago...

He has been dealt a bad hand with the pandemic interrupting everything but no progression has been made. Where as there has been with ES and Panama.

I'm not expecting us to become CONMEBOL level but we have to be solidifying our position in the area. That is the barometer. However, it's been 2 poor Copa Oro showings, lackluster friendly performances and even the u23 process wasn't as stronger as last time round.

You might say he has been unlucky with injuries but I think the strength and conditioning programme might not be right for us. It seems our guys are getting injured predominantly on international duty. But that's another story!

All in all, I admire Coito's professionalism and I do think he's a good manager but the fit might not be right. The football he's trying to develop isn't exploiting our style and reconciling that with our level.

That been said, 100% with you Cookiefritas, we have to target that 4th spot as an achievable goal!!

I think we’re lacking top line quality (for example, some of our best players, Quioto, plays in MLS, Elis plays at lower level Bordeaux, etc.) + Coito had a big blunder (US second half) and is still clearly learning the ropes with our team. Too bad, because I think he has the smarts to be a great coach.

What a shitshow of defending on that goal, literally 4 mistakes in a row to allow that.

The Carlos Pineda experiment has to end. He's clearly a shell of what he was last season prior to the Pandemic.

I applaud the effort of Danilo Acosta but man, he's lousy. He shouldn't be called up until he's found form with Galaxy.

Kevin Alvarez should never play for the NT again unless it's Center back.. he offers absolutely nothing as a right back and I've been saying that for ages.

Disappointed by El Tambo's performance rn

Why TF is this guy keep playing games, we were never going to win this game imo but the guy is experimenting way too much.

Najar and Elis need to be subbed in at the half.

    Jesus.

Panama just beat USA... Coito should resign if he doesn't win the next game. A draw at this stage simply doesn't cut it.

How many chances do we give Maynor at this stage? We are not qualifying so why not use this time to figure out a younger CB pairing, they are going to be forced to do so next game but I’m just sick of it.

If it was another player then they would have been tossed by now.
