Only White that we can really grumble about now.

    Ward-Prowse in for Phillips

Not sure what’s going on with Southgate but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this proactive in regards to calling up replacements! Maybe he’s been reading this thread ;)

Could he not have picked a more imaginative replacement for Phillips than jwp? Curtis jones would be a more worthy call up

Balance mate… Foden, Mount and Lingard are all attacking. Rice, Henerson and Ward-Prowse are more conservative. Think before you type.

Yes but Ward-Prowse offers nothing really other than set peices. Hes a pretty limited player. Nothing like as industrious as philips. Jones is similar to Phillips

It's not a squad for the Euros, it's Andorra and Hungary. Bank the points with what you know, and if we win both games and qualify then you can experiment in the next set of games.

Jones isn't quite there yet. He's been getting in the goals and assists but his overall influence and control in cm is still lacking. He could probably do the job for England but he's probably better off staying out of the limelight in under 21 and building experience with Skipp and Gallagher.

That said, a real wild card option I'd pick is Loftus Cheek .

Technically, Jones got the assist for Salah's goal on Sunday, but you can't really say he earned it.
Still better than when Ashley Young got an assist for rolling a free kick a couple of feet for Rooney to smash in.

Seeing as the pitch is pretty bad. I would go with ramsdale chilwell tomori mings trippier jwp rice grealish sancho Abraham sterling. Not risk pickford kane walker foden.

    I’m guessing Ramsdale - Chilwell - Tomori - Coady - Trippier - Henderson - JWP- Foden - Sancho - Abraham - Saka

Agree on most but I Don't think he will risk foden after his injury layoff. I forgot about Henderson.

So with the Newcastle takeover happening that long term will become another academy churning out great talent and future England stars. Very exciting. Obvs things have been said about the ownership but we can’t control that, good luck to them.

WHich was mstly down to the European ban for English clubs - they needed to get out and follow the money and prestige

A bit surprised to hear than Johnstone will start over Ramsdale. I know it’s only Andorra but seems like a wasted opportunity to give experience to a young goalkeeper who’s playing for a big club.

Its probably one of these loyalty awards which Southgate and the FA seem quite keen on. It’s used to be about form but loyalty seems to trump that.

I don't know, I actually kind of agree with that choice. I know ramsdale has been round for a few years but he's just starting to claim a starting spot for a big club fighting to play in Europe.
It only takes one major mistake on international duty to completely affect his confidence which he then takes back to his club.
We've seen this too many times before with young English keepers being put in at the deep end.
My theory would be, let him just train with the team for a year or so with the long term vision of replacing Pickford after the world Cup next year. He would have had 2 solid seasons between the sticks for arsenal and would have gained alot more experience.
Johnstone is 28, he's been around long enough to handle pressure. And let's me honest, Johnstone knows he's always going to be an understudy so give him a couple of games here and there.

Its just damage to one of the dugouts and partly side of the pitch. Pretty sure they can install a temporary dugout. Biggest question is was this done by the heat or a cigarette

I don't think that will have a huge effect. Its mostly the side of the pitch

Some of the damage is on the pitch though, not sure they can play on melted plastic.

What experience would he get? There's a decent chance he won't do anything except field backpasses.
