Did we expect anything less? His family is probably being hounded by French Journalists and PSG daily. They want to take some of the heat off. But everyone knows what's gonna happen next summer. It's no longer a mystery. Unless Mbappe wants to play in Ligue Un until he's 30, he isn't staying. Florentino isn't coming back, especially because PSG will ask for 300 million for him. We're in bad shape but not desperate.

 

It’s a bit hard to read their actual intentions. What I’m getting out of these interviews are that they still intend to leave but do not want to ruffle too many feathers. If he flat out confirms he’s leaving now than the fans and PSG are going to make his life a living hell.

 

Basically what I gathered from his mother is that it doesn’t matter what his parents want, Kylian does what he feels is right for himself. So stay patient my friends he is coming.

 

Basically. They're always coming just short of saying they're leaving next summer, but that's the point. They don't wanna say he's leaving for good and have PSG start benching him and the fans booing everything he does. It seems his ego needs to be fed and he needs the adulation of his hometown fans. I understand his reasons for not going all the way. But his actions tell us what he's going to do.

 

Then what exactly is PSG waiting for before throwing so much money at him? They have 2 months left before the player can sign a pre-contract with another club. You can bet your house they've already given him a blank check.

If it wasn't before, Mbappe's interview makes it pretty clear his decision is not down to money.

 

His career in the French league is over. But I am more worried if another club suddenly shows up. I do believe that he has a gentleman agreement with Perez, but things can change if nothing legally was ever signed between the two parties. La Liga is having its lowest point. It is very possible that both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona would not make it to the second round of the CL by January. The Preimership suddenly looks so attractive. The two Manchester clubs can hijack him in the last two months. With zero transfer fee, Liverpool can afford him, but I don't think it will happen. I am not too worried about Newcastle yet.

Idk how much more transparency people need than the l'equipe interview, where he says if he would have gone it would have been only been for Real Madrid? Like wth else do you need as proof? im sure most of it comes out of being scared if it doesn’t happen. Not even because of mbappe himself, but because of what he represents and the fallout of a Prem team snatching him up! Both to the prem it’s self but also the neg consequences it would have for RM and Florentino. But I’m with the positives, this kid has over and over and over expressed his only desire being at RM. I have total faith.

 

Utd have been a joke since 2013. Went out of group stages multiple times and never made it past QF. Never came close to challenging for league title since Fergie left. They got terrible ownership as well who hasn't got a clue how to run a club since Fergie was in charge of whole football side of things. Every summer there's redemption hype but that gets predictable when you have been mediocre for 8 years now.

 

Even if ignore everything Mbappe has said so far, you do realise one of the Manchester Clubs is doing as bad as Barca in the league and their situation in Champions League is no better than that of Atleti ? And as for the other Manchester Club I am sure you are aware of their owners and their history/rivalry with Qatar ? And Liverpool just barely managed to qualify for the champions league.. Somehow Atleti and Barca struggling might cause doubts over joining his dream club but these premier league clubs struggling as much is more attractive ?

Relations with Emirates and Qatar are now not as strained as before. While I don't see deals between them happening often, it is possible.

If I Mbappe gets his head turned I can only imagine Newcastle with the takeover offering him so much money and being the face of a new upcoming team and possibly the whole league.

 

Newcastle are 3-4 years away from even playing in the CL. They will have to sign their share of Robinhos and Adebayors before elite players who not only wants to be in CL but challenge for it as well.

 

The European Super League is likely to have launched by the time they become a genuine top European club.

 

Yea, Saudi takeover of NU pretty much ensures Arsenal and Spurs won't see CL football for a long time. Roman's takeover ended Arsenal as a title contender in mid 2000s and City winning the lottery pushed them out of Top 4. Spurs and the trio with US owners (Arsenal, Pool and Utd) are still secretly hoping for a positive verdict regarding ESL. They will be the ones who will have to fight for a CL spot against the oil trio of Chelsea, City and NU in coming years.

 

People keep going back to the money thing. We've already said on here that Qatar could give him a blank check and he still wouldn't change his mind. The player himself keeps saying it's not about the money.

Why is it so difficult to believe when it comes straight from the horse's mouth?

Our only problem could be if Real Madrid has a disasterous end to the season or PSG win the CL. Both of those could increase his confidence in the PSG project. But seeming how he has been burning bridges at PSG, it's likely a foregone conclusion.

You wanna worry about transfers upcoming summer? Here's something:
I really hope Florentino Perez goes out and buys some elite defenders at RB and CB. Dani Carvajal has been injured frequently for the last 3 seasons and we refused to see the writing on the wall. Nacho should never start as CB for RM, he's not good enough.

I get why they keep insisting though. Real Madrid is a spanish team and they have to have spanish representation. But we seriously need to fix those positions. Spanish or non-spanish.
