As have we all. Guys like he and Lleget are coming whether we have any interest or not. Like Linus' security blanket for Berhalter, he can't really go anywhere without them unless someone rips them out of his hand (injury).

    Miles is jacked.
The roster looks light on wide forwards.
    Shaq Moore: that's loyalty!

Only 27 players - especially in the age of covid and with Adams, Weah, and Musah just coming back from injuries - is criminal, and indefensible. Berhalter is trash.

I'm fine with Lletget. Not sure why we couldn't have brought both Arriola and Konrad. Then again, I'm not the biggest fan of Konrad (in terms of where he is at right now).

I mean, that shouldn't be. I'm not saying Pefok shouldn't have been called in -- I think he brings some things other players don't -- but that in and of itself shouldn't be the determining factor.

I wonder if we might see Musah in a more attacking role. Last club match of his I watched he looked better attacking than defending, and usually plays out wide.

My grandmother would have scored that goal. If you think what Pefok has done should get him called in fine. But don't use that goal as any kind of a justification.

Seems like we light at forward but I guess the thought is that Roldan or Musah can play on the wing if needed.

Or perhaps the idea is to try and bring in Reyna or Pulisic for the third game of the window. If they aren’t going to be here though, would have liked to see Ferreira.

I don’t really understand Moore over Scally given that Moore isn’t really playing right now, but Moore is fine as a player.

    Good to see LDLT.

    Surprised Pefok was dropped.

Just talking about the optics of it.

But yes, even without that goal, Pefok has been hitting lately, at least at club level. I would have called him in, and ahead of Sargent.

He so frequently does this though, where he argues other players can play at different positions. Then it creates a hole at their original ones. And we don't like the look of the player at their new one.

Just balance it from the beginning for a change, and in this case bring 30+ players. I don't get how it's possible he hasn't learned from these past mistakes. He's being wildly stubborn.

    No Konrad.

The midfield is lacking in goals/assists. Could've used Ferreira or Mihailovic. I'm not sure Musah much of goals/assists players.

    • Depth is good in defense with 5 fullbacks and 5 centerbacks. That's what we should be bringing across the board. It'll be interesting to see if Dest plays LB or Bello does when Antonee isn't.
    • Winger is very thin even if Hoppe is there as a winger. I can see LW being Aaronson / Hoppe and RW being Arriola / Weah ... although both Pulisic and Reyna could be coming in. Roldan can moonlight.
    • Would have likewise liked to see a Dike/Pefok big striker option.
    • The midfield is robust in numbers but there's a decent number of question marks -- Busio, De La Torre and Roldan (though he's in form right now) all are pretty big question marks for me.
    • Of the "Big 6," we've only got four here, and Adams may not be doing 270 minutes this run.
No Reyna, No Pulisic makes the offense look young and hopeful, frankly. This team is going to have to score on effort, I think. Which is not really a change.

The club has been pretty clear his future is in the middle as an 8. But they have some injuries among their wide players.

Exactly. I mean why not just call Scally, Konrad and Pefok/Sargent and make it 30? There’s no downside for our program!

We are light in wide players.

My guess is Aaronson and Weah get two starts each, and Hoppe and Arriola get one.

Wingers and defensive midfield depth seems a little shallow with this roster if injuries/suspensions happen.

    That's my only concern.

Sounds like his national team situation as well.

This particular roster looks deeper at CM than wings especially compared to the last one. If not him though, Roldan could up end our there from midfielder group as well.

Busio can play the 6. Although he needs to be paired with a couple other more physically robust mids for it to work. Busio, McKennie and Musah is a potentially very good and well-balanced midfield.

If he doesn't want to play for the US then it has gone our way.

(Not meant as a shot at gomichigan, I get that sentiment, and I realize I am putting a different context on it to make my own point).

Zero issues with the roster from my perspective. Sure, couple fringe spots are questionable but we can't expend too much negativity on that (but I'm sure we will)

Back line starters and subs are just fine. Ideally Scally over Moore but I'm not going to cry about it.

CM is stacked. Musah, Wes, Tyler starting with Acosta, DLT, Busio as backups. Zero issues there.

Forwards: Pepi is our guy, Hoppe and Zardes to backup, no probs there. Though I like Josh I understand the non-call. Dike and Pefok do nothing for me.

Wingers: Without Pulisic/Reyna we drop talent level a bit. But Weah, Aaronson, Hoppe are fine with me. Konrad hasn't impressed and I'm not thrilled with Arriola but he's reliable winger, I guess.

27 is by far my biggest complaint. The midfield I have no complaints. Bringing Shaq over Scally is ridiculous. 1 is playing every week in the BL can play both RB/LB. The other hasn't played 50 minutes in the 2nd division. Also we need to get Scally up to get him acclimated with the team.

3 wingers. Weah, Aaronson Arriola. Weah and Arriola are regularly INJURED! JFC, why not bring in Konrad too. There is a 50% chance by CR we are starting Aaronson (whose already played 180 minutes) and someone out of position.
