The bass is John Kahn and the drummer Bill Vitt of Garcia's band, so the black woman is either Gloria Jones or Jackie La Branch of the JGB-- I recognize her but never knew which was which... I think this is Jones? ...and BTW that "other guitarist" is James Burton, of Ricky Nelson/Elvis Presley/Gram Parsons/Emmylou Harris fame. "The Master of the Telecaster"-- the solo on both the edit and the long version of Nelson's take on "Hello Mary Lou" (Gene Pitney wrote it and Johnny Duncan first recorded it, a year before Nelson) were his and the long version among the earliest really extended guitar solos of the rock and roll era. One of the very few Garcia might have called "Sir." Is that really Hagar-- he was that skinny then?
