Questions now are does Arteta consider Tomiyasu as RB or CB or RCB, will Arsenal play with 3CB or 2CB from now? I still think Tomiyasu is at his best as a CB, for his abilities and for his national team.
I think based on their current squad and new transfers it will be a 3-back formation. With Gabriel, Ben White, Tomiyasu, Pablo Mari, Holding, and Chambers I see them more suited to play a 3-back. Otherwise they will not allow an authentic sideback such as Hector Bellerin to leave without having a replacement in place. Ofcourse, they can still play with a 4-back formating but with a more defensively-oriented side-backs such Tomiyasu and Chambers.

Off after 60 minutes. Good debut, won all of his challenges and had a couple of good offensive moments.
Tomiyasu shows quality but he will have hard time at Arsenal since his teammates in defences are kind of sh*t
Two games, two clean sheets. White was not good but Arsenal’s other RB options are so bad I can’t see Arteta moving Tomiyasu to CB.
Yes it was another solid performance for Tomi and he played the full 90 minutes. I too would like to see him in his natural position soon.
So far so good for Tomi. Meanwhile, Inter has so far put 5 past Bologna which shows how shallow their defense has become after Tomi's departure.

Another solid outting by Tomiyasu. Daily Mail only gave him a 6/10 for his performance, they must of been watching a different game. Racist.
It seems he's become a fan favorite, which is really nice to see. I hope he stays healthy for the JNT as the next round of WCQ is going to be super tough.

Kept a clean sheet but poor game from Tomiyasu today was probably Arsenals worst player made errors and struggled to mark up against Cucurella 2/10 match rating. Can be forgiven though has had a brilliant start and did not lead to any goals but this match was one to forget
Yeah. Poor game all around. It could've been better. He must focus on maintaining his high level gameplay throughout the whole season which I believe he would be able to do so. Luckily, he plays for a team whose fans are so desperate they would forgive and let these mishaps slide for as long as he is committed to improving himself. Imagine him playing for Real Madrid, Chelsea, or Manchester United whose fans are so demanding and their expectations are sky high and he makes such blunders!
