Was thinking with Musiala, Gnabry and Coman not at 100% it would be nice to see him in the Müller position. But wont happen

Just seen that due to his new contract, Tillman will be ineligible for tomorrow’s match. Which is annoying. If there are doubts over Gnabry, Musiala and Coman at least maybe Sieb will get a chance at some point.

    Toni Di Salvo on ...
... the continuation of the work with the U21: First of all, I would like to thank the DFB presidium and the sporting management for their trust and also Stefan Kuntz for the good cooperation. I'm really looking forward to the task. We got off to a great start in qualifying and we need to continue on this path. There is no need to change anything. In the coaching team, we have always understood how to make decisions together. Stefan Kuntz did an excellent job with us and integrated us well. I want to continue on this path with my own style and personality and remain authentic.

... his appointment: I was not surprised because in the past few years we have repeatedly talked about the fact that taking over a team must be a logical step. That it would be the U21 was not necessarily to be expected.

... his influence now and before: There wasn't just a lot of Di Salvo, but a lot of coaching team. We discussed almost every decision together, so the team's style is also a style of ours and therefore mine too. It's more about having a different way of addressing myself or about things that I discuss with the team. The big picture will be the same as before. I'm very similar to Stefan Kuntz, we have the same idea when it comes to a team and the game idea. I will tell my stories, but otherwise continue everything.

... the debut in his hometown Paderborn: These are the stories that football writes. It is very special that the first game takes place in my hometown, I am really looking forward to it. I am sure that I will get a lot of support from family and friends. It would have been just as special if it had been elsewhere.

... the German offspring: The U21 titles mustn't hide the fact that there is a lot of work ahead of us. We certainly have the potential in Germany, but the small nations have caught up and the big nations are one step ahead in one area or another. We have to work more individually again, fun has to play a role. The children have to be able to play one-on-one even on a small pitch and try out a lot.

... the pressure as Kuntz successor: pressure is always there. You are measured by results. Since I was part of the team before, the pressure is not that great. I am doing my best and I am very confident that it will be successful.

... the current year: It is important to get to know the team first. It's never easy when there are 23 new players who you integrate in a very short time and to whom you have to convey a game idea. We think the team did well and started well. Even with the last cycle, not everything worked immediately. We want to get better from measure to measure.

... the striker project: This is a dynamic project and we are active there. Over the past three days in Berlin, I presented the project to the trainers at the youth training centers. The point is to make each position group better in the training. I am sure that the work will be fruitful and that we will soon be able to develop a lot of good players.

... Co-trainer Hermann Gerland: I've known Hermann for a long time, even if we were only together at Bayern for a short time. But the contact has never been broken. In the coaching team, we immediately came up with the Gerland solution and saw it as a great addition. We wanted to take a different perspective and have brought in Hermann Gerland, a super experienced trainer who may also address things differently. I am very happy that we could win it. He said he wanted to give something back to football.

... Youssoufa Moukoko: He was unlucky to have injured himself in March when we wanted to appoint him for the first time. We don't need to argue that he is an incredible talent and has shown that he can score a lot. But we should leave the church in the village. He is still very young and first has to study at Borussia Dortmund. It takes patience, but I'm sure we'll see him with the senior team at some point. But we have to give it time to grow and mature.

04 CB Gechter looks for 3rd 1BL cap and 1st XI for Hertha.

people asked about breakthrough season for players in Summer and I said who knows not predictable thing and it really isn't.

even Schade/ Weisshaupt was expecting it in 2022 but happened in Sept 2021.

the always injured 00 W Kuhn scored in 3-2 L in 2BL. His 1st goal higher than 3rd Liga. Only on loan so more he devs, scores etc more could attract 1BL interest.

    some GK
-02 GK Gebhardt who has pro contract at Swiss 1st FC Basel and is club's bench GK too. Made his pro and 1st debut in Swiss Cup in 3-0 W.

-01 GK Kasten on loan to Austrian 2nd and is #1 looks to be doing well.
    https://www.kicker.de/kasten-im-interview-hier-kannst-du-dich-gut-entwickeln-872409/artikel

-03 GK Krumney played his 4th Austrian 2nd division cap for Salzburg "2nd team" Liefering. Kid has pro contract and club rates him too.

-00 GK Mantl had his 3rd cap of season for Salzburg in 8-0 W in Cup. Should be 1st choice for Cup, for league/Europe #1 has to go injjured or flop......still only U21 GK playing high level

-3rd Liga Hallescher #1 out injured so 02 GK Schreiber is #1 for club and played today his 6th 3rd Liga cap. His loan ends in Summer would be nice if he can stay #1 at club until Summer.

-Ulreich at Bayern is out for October so 00 GK Fruchtl is now Bayern Bench GK for next month.

interesting seeing 3 02 GKs in
Gebhardt, Atubolu and Schreiber playing pro footy this season!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

would say Mantl, Gebhardt and Ramaj are closest to high level footy GKs.

reason, 3/3 bench GKs for Austrian Bundesliga, Swiss 1st and 1BL respectively.

in 2BL, 00 GK Voll is bench GK for HR and 01 GK Schulze is bench GK for Paderborn due to #2 Zingerle injuring his hands so for now only temp for Schulze.

Rest on loan or 3rd GKs for 1BL (aka #1 in 3rd Liga-RL). Needing injuries isn't too close.to playing anything.

Stiller not even in bench of Hoffenheim…injured or dropped? If dropped would be a drastic fall since he was a starter in first few matches

injured/unfit had fitness problems during week. Same for Gechter muscle injury and missed his chance for XI. Nothing new, injury prone Germans.....

Arp in XI had assist today in 2-1 W for Kiel. Nice to see him and Kuhn contributing in 2BL.

Kastenmeier got straight red today for 2BL FD. Guess 02 GK Gorka will make pro bench debut next weekend.

    so that would be
Schreiber (a lot of XI in 3rd Liga), Atubolu (XI in 3rd Liga), Gebhardt (bench GK at Basel and debut in Cup), Bordner (1 1BL cap and 1 3rd Liga cap) and next up Gorka in terms of 02 GKs playing pro or getting close.

Kastenmeier has been getting shit for weeks a lot want him benched too.

Moukoko with 4th career XI today for Dortmund as Haaland out. With Knauff on bench.

will face off vs Netz who continues in XI. Beyer on bench.

could be good for Netz to avoid Haaland for now, lol.

02 AM/W Aydin (usually RWB) in XI with assist

00 CF Arp assist in comeback 2-1 W. Nothing impressive but liked hold up and amount of players he drew on him which allowed for shot.

02 M Munst played his 1st XI today and 5th cap in Swiss 1st loan.

speaking of Stuttgart, WTF is up with that club.
-Egloff is out injured. TM has him out until Oct 5.
    -Hornung, Grimm, Suver, Meyer

    all 1st prospects too.....

    speaking of Grimm
Grimm seems to have injured himself very badly. The first diagnosis is apparently a cruciate ligament tear. But gives no confirmation.

YIKES was injured for 2 years, comesback for another big injury. Can write him off as lost talent at this point.....

Moukoko hasn’t been getting many minutes up till now in the BL this season, always coming on very late in matches or not at all.

So throw him in from the start and it was never going to be easy for him to instantly make an impact. He needs more playing time to develop, either Rose needs to use him more or if not then maybe starting some 3.Liga matches would be good for him. He is still very young.

Moukoko has been a little bit unlucky to. Got to start against Bayern where No Dortmund player showed up. Same goes for against Gladbach.

Haaland wasnt good against Bayern and Malen wasnt good against Gladbach.

think its to much to expect from Moukoko 16 years to make the difference
