You know, the maradona aka roulette spin/turn move thing. I didn't learn it until I was old. I grew up sheltered and didn't even know about it. But when I started to learn it it took me a while, about a few years to really get down and use under pressure. Now it's fairly easy to do. I'm teaching my 7 yr old the move because I think it would actually come in handy in his age group. I have seen other 7 yr olds do it on the internet so I don't think it's impossible. He's got he bio mechanics mostly down. I'm not gonna rush him, but gradually he's getting it. U8 kids still crowd around so the move would work well to get past and through opponents. Even though it looks kinda fancy I don't consider it a fancy move; rather it is quite pragmatic. It is a good solution in some circumstances.
fair point. however, how do you know one's abilities? 10 years ago I would have said I don't have the ability to learn it. But through perseverance I learned it. So, I think nearly anyone can learn it, given enough time and repetition. Do you feel you have the ability to learn how to fly a plane, or do surgery? You do. 90% of the population does, given enough time. Sure, some will learn faster than others.
