Being compared to those two? Not a bad day for Busio, eh?

With Aaron West doing his best to revive the P.M. Dawn look.

Had a scary looking knee knock at the half, but managed to walk it off and return in 2nd half.

    1-1 in 73rd.

They played well in the second half, attacked in the search of a winner, but then let one in on the other end. 2 1 loss.

It's obviously very early, but I feel like Busio is going to have a comfortable place in Serie A next season regardless of whether Venezia does.

yeah...his age and Italian passport make the odds so much higher...tessman on the other hand, not so sure.....hopefully they dont get relegated though....and both can stay.

Excellent news for club and country, With Weston's place at Juve in doubt.

juve is in trouble ...less points than venezia through 4 matches.

Ronaldo really papered over a lot of cracks in that team, imo.

but I think Wes will be fine.

In today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport:

Busio: 5.5 - You cannot question his technique, or his fighting spirit. Got the assist, but also wasted a chance.

I look forward to watching his development. He may be in the Gio Reyna ballpark.

Probably not but that’s okay. That’s a tough ballpark, potential wise, to get close to.

I really like watching him play with his club teams so far whether that’s been SKC or Venezia. I hope I’ll feel that way in the NT at some point too! He has such clean technique receiving, passing and striking the ball. Plus, he clearly reads the game extremely well. Italy is such a good league for him with their affinity for little midfielders haha

he remains who i thought he was - a nice player in possession who is a suspect defender far too inclined to rushed sticking out a leg type challenges but hits gorgeous deadballs

Can a player learn to be better at defending? Asking for a friend (let's call him Gianluca).

Busio played well in the first half. His passing is really good.

If you're the best player on a competitive serie a side (which, surprisingly enough, Venezia are), then I wouldn't mind starting you with the Nats.

I'm seeing a guy who plays as a deeplying playmaker - either as a 6 or an 8 - with elite ball skills for the position, and while not a bulldog or explosive, is athletic enough to run all day and good enough defensively. That was AC Milan he was playing against. They are no longer the top 5 side they used to be, but certainly they're among the top 30-50 or so clubs in the world.

VERY impressed with Busio, who's got my nod for early season YA MVP
